@beganot Maybe I should have specified in my comment, but not all vegans and vegetarians do it for animal related reasons; some do it for diet and health reasons, political or even environmental reasons. Or, maybe you've just happen to have met only pseudo-vegetarians. Which, don't get me wrong, pseudo-vegetarianism is better than nothing at all.

I kindda gave up hope in changing the minds of ignorant people. I admire al vegans because the act of not consuming anything animal helps lessen cruelty cases. Even if you don't believe in animal cruelty but still consume their products, there is always one idiot out there who will see a market, profit from it and not cater to the needs of the animal. The more demand, the more animals are seen as property w/o feelings. But anyways, I stopped trying to convince people.

Second of all, I admit that some animal rights organizations like the Animal Rights Militia might go to extremes, but your comment is proving how the world just doesn't listen. Animals were given to us for food, but we must kill them humanely and give them a good life before we do. This is common sense loving animal husbandry.

As for experimenting on them this makes me sick. We don't need to do this because natural remedies and potions work fine. I do not condone stopping it like this though. The end has to be through people boycotting products and drugs and not with destruction of property.

Uh, how about becoming sane? We as humans were designed to dominate the animal kingdom. The problem with these groups is that they are 100% conditional. They are conditional. They don't care about cockroaches or vultures, only animals that can be domesticated pets. Animals cannot contribute to society of the dominating human civilization unless we utilize them for labor and food. Don't starve yourself on a boat because you won't eat fish, that's dumb. If we don't eat them, something else will!

Animals don't have souls, and are not equal to humans. But as rulers over the animal kingdom, we are also charged with taking care of creation. Yeah, thumb me down, but I stood up to my father who wrongly tortured our cats for having an accident on the carpet. I understand that animals have a role in society, but it is not as equals. Otherwise we are just wasting time and energy.

@ColonelMarksman You clearly don't know anything. Research (such as the ASIS survey - see Lyle Munro book "Compassionate Beasts") has shown that most of the people in these groups are vegans. Vegans have respect for all living beings including birds and insects, which is why they don't consume carmine and honey, for example. Veganism aside, vegetarians have just as much respect for all animal life. As a vegan and an activist, I find your comment very ignorant.
