k ill try cutting the spring. something i found out is that if you put the pedal on a really soft carpet it wont be so sensitive. i tried that cuz i have a concrete floor and i got an area rug and that worked. but ill try the spring cutting too. thanx for the tip

On the XBox 360 the GHWT drums work fine with both RB games, although the orange cymbal is not used in those games. On the PS3 the GHWT guitars work but the drums do not (a PS3-owning friend found this out the hard way). Apparently on the Wii none of the GHWT instruments work in RB2.

Does anybody know which instruments are better because I have GHWT full band kit and then I was going to get both rockband games by themselves. But GHWT drums are REALLY FRAGILE! I took GHWT back to Gamestop about 3 times already. I wanna get rockband 2's band bundle. But I don't really like the drums. Some people say they have problems. i have the RB2 drums they are really nice. They arent very fragile either, the footpetal has metal and they are very quiet. I have owned them since opening week and still no problems. They also has a nice bounceback on the drumpads to make the experiance more lifelike. Hope that helps!!! =)

Incidentally, to answer your question about the armored notes, WT's drum set is velocity sensitive. The armored notes are to be hit harder than the others.

I prefer the Rock Band 2 drum kit, even if the GH: WT kit feels more realistic, you can buy the official attachable cymbals (3) for U.S. $30.00. The cymbals are actually circular and are good quality. You can get them at Best Buy and at other stores.

I see, i have only played on that kit once, not enough to notice the scoring procedure, and I wasnt even thinking about the fact that it would make it easier, even though i hear that they keep the same amount of notes on the chart for the rb kit, but i am sure the placement is dif though. However if you played the rb kit with the cymbal expansion, i think you would disagree that the GHWT kit feels more natural. But i do get why you do it now, its all about the score baby.

-you get more points with the GH:WT kit as the orange note is worth more than the red,green,blue, or yellow notes, as well as armored notes and the bass pedal giving you more points with the GH:WT kit

-the game is made for 5 pads: so I refuse to play it with anything less, making it easier

-the GH:WT kit makes it feel a lot more realistic most of the time
