@sagehawk12 - Thanks so much. I don't identify specifically as a sexual vampire, but it may be my primary psi-feed type. Upside: it's enjoyable for the donor & easy for me to feed on ambient sexual energy in a club or wherever. Downside: I can drain my partner too easily & they may not always be sure if their attraction is to me is normal or a vampiric lure. My current BF is a psi-vamp too & we tend to drain each other too much. 8-(
@Persephonetoo yeah it seems to be rare that someone is primarily restricted to that energy type. So far i seem to be one of those few. I'm not too happy about it either. It would be fine if I was in a large city with clubs...
@sagehawk12 - I'm lucky that I can ambient feed easily & feed from other people in the same room, but when I don't get out enough, my roommate gets tired & worn down. It sucks being vampiric, not just for me, but for the people I'm close to. People who don't think this is real think we enjoy pretending we're "special", but it's not like that at all. I'm just like anyone else, but I also drain vitality from people - not from being tedious, clingy or anoying, but from being in proximity to them.
I don't mind when people like me and feel comfortable with me. Whether I put them at ease with vampy abilities or normal interpersonal skills, it serves my need to be close to them and not have them feel threatened by me.
It's when it becomes a sexual attraction, that I worry I may be manipulting them. Sexual arousal and fear are the "tastiest" emotions for me. It seems to be my nature to feed this way, yet evoking either in order to psi-feed seems ethically questionable.
