I will start off by saying I do like my Luminox very much. It's on my wrist as I type this and it looks great. I received it last July and I hate to say I have had to send it back twice now to Luminox's authorized repair vendor and had the band fixed prior to that. So the rivet that keeps the band securely in place broke and I had ...

i was looking into buying one of these. they look cool. i own an omega seamaster (james bond) that i wear for formal occasions. i seen on ebay ones going for 39 bucks, from hong kong so their obviously fake. but according to you, paying the 200+ for a luminox isnt worth it if it does this after 1 month.
Thanks for your opinion. I was considering to buy this watch but not anymore. Do you know any similar watches? I know there is Tagheur. (analog and digital together).
yep wanted a Luminox my wife got me aExecutive 2000 series the watch fogged up so bad in cold and warm weather ( I never wore it in the shower, pool or hot tube even removed it to wash my hands ) sent it back to Luminox by certified mail never fixed my watch never refunded my money never returned my phone calls or awnsered my e-mails that was 3 years ago $400 mistake , paid $60 for a fossil and its been in Alaska in Febuary and Mexico in July hunting, fishing, and diving hot tubs too no worries
Although this never occured to me, I heard the issue with fogging of the watch is a common problem with luminox (I own 2 other pairs of luminox) especially for users that use these watches for diving.
I was just really disappointed by their service since Ive really liked these watches. these watches are great to use when flying especially at night.
@poobah1911 But aren't the executive series meant for business men AKA they are mainy dresswatches? The Navy Seals/Divers series I would think to be a bit more water resistant.
If this is all true, then I commend you. Luminox should standby a product. If they don't, then dissatisfied customers are gonna blow them away with Youtube movies.
luminox watches sold by unauthorized seller online are usually sold for relatively low price. Even tho they wouldnt be covered by warranty, I dont think there is any point paying the full retail price to get the warranty since their service isnt any good.
I think itll be better to buy a cheaper luminox watch that is not covered by warranty and just consider it as a disposable watch.

The two other watch brands that I know are 'Traser" and "nite.' Like luminox, they both make watches using the tritium capsules.
I know Tag Heuer makes really good watches but I think they use coating for glow in the dark feature rather than the tritium capsules.
If u have the money, get a Tag :)

I ended up not getting the refund. Instead, they replaced the watch with another model which cost much less than the one I originally purchased.

That's horrible service. I was beginning to like these watches, now all these horror stories are just putting me off.

@sirfreakish try Dievas for a not-expensive watch with tritium.
