@TarjaGirl look, i cannot remember right know, ny first thought is that in that chapter is when they propose catherine to retire to a convent or so... but im not sure, as I already said i do not remember.... give me a few days to search for the chapter and then I´ll tell you ok? :)

I really think that what made Katherine the real Queen of England is not that she was daughter of other kings or anything that like that but that she was the only of the 6 wifes of Henry that was an equal for him. She was at least (and I say at least) as intelligent and well-breed as he was, he could talk with her of anything (political matters included) and she did not need to ask him for anything.

The others were just with Henry because they entertained him or amused him for a little while.

@ck0611 and when Henry was in battle in France and the scots want take advantage of that situation, Katherine like regent she gathered an army, fought and defeated the Scots...a real queen like her mother..not a doll for her husband..and she was married with Henry during 24 years and all the others queen stogether only 14

tins mucha razon fue una magnifik reina q mantuvo su frent en alto hasta l dia d su muerte... respecto a lo de que las demas son unas zorras, no stoy de acuerdo, solo eran mujeres algunas demasiado joves n una situacion, q como la vida d todas las mujeres en ese tiempo, no manejaban ellas, sino sus padres, q eran unos traficantes d carne al queres usarlas para su propio beneficio. well not with exact those words, I cant remember, but I red a book named The six wives of Henry VIII, and it mentions that Anne said something, I cant remember what, but it was very similar, in fact I was very impresioned because may thigs mentiones in the book, happened in the program "The Tudors", the book was written by -Antonia Fraser-

yeah anne boleyn was some bitch. And a scary one at that. The irony is that in the next generation it is Elizabeth, Anne Boleyn's daughter and not Mary, Katharine's daughter, that is well received by England as Queen of People's Hearts much like Katharine of Aragon was.

Brilliant Video, very emotional! Although I'm an Anne fan I adore Katherine too and can't belive Henry could turn around after almost 20 years of marriage and say it was never valid and that the love he once had for her wasnt true! Henry VIII although a great King was a horrible man!

Thankyou, for some reason I got thumbed down for saying that Henry was wrong and poor Katherine. Guessing its because I'm an Anne fan but thats because shes the 1st of his Queens I read about properly first. Katherine is a very close second tho (practically joint) for the bravery and dignity she showed during everything. She was an Amzaing woman, I think she got that inner strength from her mother

dont worry everybody can say and write what they´re thinking! let me tell you that before I red some books I hated Anne because she was one reason of several that Henry left Katherine, but now thet I´ve been reading more, I know that Anne was used by her had and uncle to be near the king and to be wealthier tha before, she had no choise but what she did.

But Katherine still is my favorite Queen, and she always will be

I agree after Anne i read about Katherine because I didnt really know anything or have an opinion on her. But she was such a strong woman the way she fought for herself and Mary. Anne acted of her own accord but theirs no doubt when she first caught the Kings eye her father and uncle were pushy the same as Jane Seymours family were. Its great that people can say what they want its just not fair that they get thumbed down for comments that arent even offensive that annoys me!

Elizabeth fué una gran reina ,cometió muchos errores solo que tuvo mas tiempo para poder repararlos y mejorar su imagen. Maria solo tuvo 5 años y trató de reivindicar a su madre restableciendo el catolicismo a cualquier precio.

Creo que el dolor por su madre no la dejó ver con claridad y nunca se habla de su reforma monetaria, en la armada, etc.

en cuanto a Ana, fué una gran manipuladora sin duda alguna y Katherine una gran mujer y soberana
