I've read several of Krugman's books, and a handful of his editorials. I'm not impressed. I think he's more a pundit than an economist.
He makes some pretty ridiculous justifications for policies that he favors. I don't think he is necessarily stupid, so I'm thinking that maybe he's just dishonest.
You never said anything important to say to begin with. Republicans lies about everything and everybody goddamn well knows it. You're just demonstrating it for the world.
First of all, why do you continue to swear and curse my God? Quite annoying. Second, show me one thing Republicans have lied about. I can show you fifty that Krugman has lied about. I'm sick of idiot liberals like you who have no argument and only call names rather than have an intelligent discussion. Of course, your lack of intellect, precludes you from this type of discussion.
This is nuts! Im not a fan of Obama. I prefer Ron Pauls option to opt out. We have been raiding SS for decades, and we are trillions of dollars in debt. The bigger key is returning to a more humble foreign policy, so we can spend tax dollars in more appropriate ways. We cant keep purposefully defacing the value of our currency by printing money, or borrowing to wage war. To suggest that SS isnt an issue that NEEDS to be addressed specifically is asinine.
These people are insane. Not only is Social Security an unfunded obligation projected in the trillions, but coupled with Medicare/Medicaid, the economy would have to grow by double digits every year. Thats faster than CHINA, and 5x faster than its increasing now (~2%). Does anyone really see a new industrial age? I don't.
I'm glad Ron Paul understands that we're mortgaging our children/grandchildren's futures.
"The sovereignty fetish is still so strong in the public mind, that there would appear to be little chance of winning popular assent to American membership in anything approaching a super-state organization. Much will depend on the kind of approach which is used in further popular education."
There the neocons at ABC go supporting THEIR candidate Hillary Clinton again. Krugman's comments are patently false. The govt regularly steals money from the Social Security trust fund and applies it to current debt. That is why the deficit looks smaller than it really is. Those IOUs to SS have to be paid some day soon (think bady boomers) so Obama is correct, there is a problem with SS.

George Will: privatization (i.e. corporate) hack. The best way to protect SS is to defend it from attack.
