It was great at the time for guys like Ken Daneyko, John Maclean, Bruce Driver, & Bobby Carpenter to raise the Cup, after they'd been with the Devils the longest & were there when NJ was horrible in their 1st few seasons in NJ. Remember when Gretzky called them a "Mickey Mouse" team? But 10 years later, the Devils were the ones laughing at the end...:-)

You should have hated your own team this year then, since they basically locked it down defensively. The Rangers defense was excellent this season, not to mention very conservative (1-4 formation anyone?). But thats ok I guess since its not the Devils, right? The 1995 team was incredible. Great defense wins championships, there is no shortcuts or instant win defense styles, ask the Minnesota Wild.
