Hi Jena! I have a great experience in fasting.I was fasting for a 3,7,14,21, and 30 days! I liked the 14 days fast.After 14 days I feel younger and much lighter. For 14 days I lost 25 pounds, then about half of it get back.But it is not only about weight loss. It is very cleansing.Sense it is no food, body will use fat and bad organ's tissue for a fuel. You will glow after all! Very important to eat right before and after fast. Good luck!
yes it will slow down ...but after the fast you start your immune system up by only eating raw and healthy foods ...it can clean your digestive system out and bad cells in your body ...and other people fast before they have a vision quest ...deprieving yourself of what you want and think you need can be more mind clearing then ever ...i think alot of people should fast for soul and health reasons..;)
You can believe anything people post about it but I believe in FACTS and all I know is that I did lose weight fasting and eating Raw, BUT!!! I do not feel good and I have been more vicitimised to getting really Sick than being healthy. Cleansing is good but not all the time!!!!

Fasting, eating raw .....I really don't know but all I know is that doing that has made me really really SICK! Though everyone is different and I might have not been really educated on both those subjects. I am sticking to Susan Powter's "Stop the Insanity" way! She teaches you that FOOD does NOT make you fat!!! FAT makes you FAT! its simple.. she even give you a hint on finding that out on food labels.
IMO, I think that fasting will just slow down your metabolism, causing your body to keep what little it does get. I have heard that "juicing" can infact clean the system, but just be careful about how long it is done...and take vitamins along the way.
I did a fast for 10 days, but i didn't do it to lose weight..Its called the Master cleanse: aka Lemonade diet.. I used it as a cleansing/detox process for my body..to start fresh..eating 95% fruit and veggies.. watch my vids, and you'll see my journey.
I think people who go to extremes to loose weight like that, Need to talk to a therapist, Or even a doctor, but none the less we do a lot of strange things to loose weight, And those who do not suffer with a weight problem Do NOT understand the struggles. Good topic. It is horrifying to me when I hear young women who are fasting to lose weight. There have been some videos when they are actually trying to avoid water, which is sure death. Sometimes I like to do a cleansing/weight loss for 1 to 3 days of fruits, juices and water. I usully feel better and lose a few pounds. (More than a water fast). Fasting causes poisons to leave the system quickly. Especially past drugs leaving the system can cause health concerns. Jen
