I like the waterfalls and the fishes that jumped out of water all at once. I watched this, because my Geography teacher required us to watch this, do some 'research' and answer given questions about the Amazon river. And... I think I like this video a lot.. xD I was like, wow-ing at some parts :P

The sad thing is that the mighty amazon and river dolphins are being slaughtered by fishermen for their flesh to be used as fishing baits. This is absolutely disgusting. Why are the Japanese being always blamed for what they did when other fishermen of other countries, like in South America did even worst things to the environment. These pink dolphins are being threatened with extinctions if nothing is done to help combat the throwing threat of animal abuse.

I'm 14 years old and ever since the age of 6 i have been studying dolphins and their behaviors. When you look closely at such a dolphin's eyes, there is a bare hole, These dolphins have advanced senses that allow them to seek food with less struggle, though their sight is terrible. Because of this, their defense is weakened, resulting in humans hunting them as a sport. Many people don't know about river dolphins, but they are being hunted each day as a sick, cruel game :(

i went swimming with them last august. there are heaps left up streams off the amazon river but most in the main rivers have dissapeared, pollution or swimming away im not sure. they are pretty smart creatures. they tease you underwater but protect you from parana, caiman and alligators. i hope they out live humans.

Why did you show the Iguaçu Falls as part of the Amazon Rainforest? For Heaven's sake! It's like producing a documentary about Great Britain and show The Alps as part of it.

The falls shown in this documentary are some 570 miles away from the territory officially named as Amazonia by the Brazilian governmennt, 700 miles from the Amazonian Basin, and some 1,000 miles from Amazonian Rainforest!

It's mostly a working vacation for healthcare professionals- but when i went in 96 we had a plumber in the lineup. It was way cool. 2 weeks in the peruvian jungle- we held 5 clinics and treated lots of ppl, also got to see how the local shaman did his thing. Very rewarding!! RHP has a web site.
