  • Good work. It's very difficult to get any decent imagery of this amazing event. This year in northwestern NC, we're witnessing the flights in very early February. It's been a mighty warm winter. Thanks for you video. Great job.

  • We came home last night and heard the woodcock on our farm. The sound is so magical in the wet evening. Last year we did not hear any woodcock at all, very cold winter in mountains of WNC. Thought they were goners but the male is back! Hoping for the female. Need to figure out the nesting so we dont disturb any babies. This January is unseasonably warm, usually we hear them end of Jan/first of Feb. Thank you for this video.

  • agreed

  • very good..best bird for hunt..

  • This is going on in the vacant land next to our house right now! Love them!

  • Good job I just saw some tonight here in Central Pa. By the way, To one of the comments, I don't believe these are related to Nightjars. More like a shorebird family.

  • Very cool. Just like the discriptions I have read. I hope to get out this spring and see this.

  • great job filming the flight, must be a very hard thing to do.

  • Very nice. Difficult subject matter.
