This was from June 27, since WWE held shows at the McNichols Arena in Denver, CO and at the Spectrum in Philadelphia, PA on June 28. The match aired on the October 28, 1986 episode of WWF Prime Time Wrestling.
@recreationleader1: He was a heel as Big Daddy Ritter in Stampede Wrestling as a member of Foley's Army (that's J.R. Foley- no relation to Jim Ross or Mick Foley.)
Check out King Kong Bundy in the new independent film "Fight the Panda Syndicate," now beign submitted to festivals around the world for 2012! The KING is not only one of the greatest wrestlers ever but a tremendous actor and a really great guy. For more information check out Crazy Elk Productions!
fake but a good fake. I went to a wressling match and some smartass yelled fake fake. The winner of the match told him to get his ass in the ring. The fan shut up in a hurry.
man i remember being a lil nigga & watching this nigga on tv and telling my mama that i wanted to wear a dog collar and chains lol. man, those were the good old days!
@ralphsteadey the ref was favoring the Junkyard Dog up until the end but what are you going to do? JYD should have been suspended for touching an official
Do you know 4th grade grammar and spelling? That is a serious question, too.
Mo, Ric Flair didn't bring chains to the ring and didn't "bark" his interviews. Flair was 10xs the wrestler of JYD. I never understood JYDs appeal at all.
Bundy was stupid to try to fight for the chain against JYD. He was bound to loose that one. JYD cleaned out his clock with those headbutts. That was his only choice actually. Danny Davis received the first of many thrashings. He was the one that cost the British Bulldogs to lose the tag team title to the Hart Foundation. Then he became Fighting Danny Davis. What ever happended to Davis anyway?
That was one of the weirdest endings I've ever seen to a straight-up heel vs face house match...And Danny Davis was actually the sympathetic character? Awful match up until that point though...

He had a crazy mat Head bunt . The only other wrestler in the biz to employ it was Rick Steiner. Who if you ask me, emulated Junk Yard Dogs style .

Junk Yard Dog was a very big strong man at 285-290 but he was giving up over 200 pounds to King Kong Bundy.

I was asking if you complain about "The Nature Boy"

He personified 80's WWF campiness.
And I as a kid loved his music, smile/charisma and thought he was the greatest dancer ever for some reason.
