  • It's wonderful. Moving water/fluid has alot of energy. Even though the turbine does not spin too fast, they speed up the electricity generator by first using gears. The faster the generator spins, the more electricity it makes.

  • Very good explanation. I added it to my low head water power playlist

  • LOVE it. esp part about wave energy/power.

  • 87,600 Kw per year if used 24/7/365

  • Do you really want to know?

  • Conventional hydro power plants have had a negative impact on fish trying to spawn... fish ladders help but they are still harmful.. My question to you is "what is the impact on spawning fish when you install this plant on a river?"

  • @lizadfuel His first link shows where the "fish ladder" is built into the device. It is underneath the plant and comes through the floor of it. I believe it is at a "low pressure" point in the vortex so that there is not even much water flow there. He says that even a slow fish like a bullhead can get through and he has video's of them above the plant. Even Shrimp can make it up through the plant! So check out his first link. An English translation is on the Zotloeter site now!
