  • is this on the Hudson river?

  • I go 5 days a week for my team. 6 in the spring and fall.

  • thanks for this valuable tips

  • I already lost 23lbs with just "eating nutritiously." Humm, I will definitely do rowing cardio to lose the last few lbs. I think I need to lose maybe another 10lbs. I'm 5'6 157.4lbs (was ~ 180lbs). Once this semester is over, I'll have about 6 weeks of vacation. Is it possible to use the rowing machine for 5 days a week? Or will my body not be able to hold up? 4 days? 3 days? I also need to gain upper body muscle mass! Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

  • @xBl00dBrothersX What are you using for a workout plan? Please make sure that you factor a couple of rest days in your plan. Recovery is what makes us stronger.

FWIW, when I was rowing a bunch, I was rowing four days a week. But I'm a 50yo that needs a little more rest and recovery than a 20 something. These days I run three to four days a week and use the erg for cross training.

  • @TheRunningFatGuy Hi, thanks so much for answering! For the past nine weeks I have not worked out at all. I just eat nutritiously and eat 1200 calories a day. I do take multivitamin, calcium, omega-3 supplements to keep me healthy. My diet also consists of 80-100g of protein a day (so as to not lose precious muscle mass as a result of my diet). I have not worked out because, well, same excuse everyone gives, I can't find the time. But, once this semester is over I WILL definitely use rowing

  • @TheRunningFatGuy rowing as my primary cardio and bicyling as my secondary and the treadmill as my third. Once I have a flat abdomen I will workout the abdominals and the upper body (upper back, pectorals, triceps, biceps, forearms). But, I only need cardio so that I can lose these last ~ 10lbs of fat and then I won't need cardio anymore. So back then you used to row four days a week Humm, so maybe I can row for five since I'm 20. If I am 5'6, 157lbs, 20, how many cals can i burn in 30 mins?

  • she has very nice legs.

  • why would you erg on a dock? if you are a rower, put you boat in the water if your so close to it

  • ***NEED ADVICE*** I have 17lbs of fat that I need to lose. I already lost almost 8lbs from dieting in a nutritious manner (so I was 25lbs fat). I am going to start doing rowing and biking at the gym. Is it "ok" to do both in the same day 3-4x per week? Or should I just only do one per day?

  • Respond to this video...

If you are rowing properly you really won't feel like doing any cycling. But do weights too, proper weightlifting burns 600 calories an hour and now, bulkiness will NOT occur

  • If I rowed on a dock I'd end up moving the machine into the lake.

  • Nice! Thank you.

  • She rows and rows and rows...but the raft does not move ???? There must be a great mistake in design of the raft...

  • Great instructional video. Thank you for posting this.
