@Matrixmadman We are taking my Jurassic Park Jeep, and my Knight Rider Trans Am to the Max RetroPub on Elgin St. in downtown Tulsa this Saturday night for a friend's birthday party. We won't be bringing the Ghostbuster car, but we'll all be there in our Ghostbuster attire. :-)
so did you buy ecto 1 and then build the props for it? and what year is your car ( etco 1) 1959-1962?? I have a hearse and some time every soon i will post a vid of it. Its a 1988 buick all black. i don't know if you like that type of cars but seen you have a some what of a hearse. :)
@jjesgirl Talk about late reply. :-) The car was a half assed restoration job LoL ....then yes, the props were built by me. Mine is a 1960 Cadillac Superior. Versus the actual movie car which was a 1959 Cadillac Ambulance Miller Meteor.
@KN1IGHT how much in time did you take to build the props for both cars the you have aka KITT and the Ecto 1? also how much in money for the props? thinking about doing this to my car. just need a clue on how much i will need to save up for it. thank you again!!
@jjesgirl Kitt has been a lengthy project that I started back in 1994. It really doesn't take that long....but since I've had that Trans Am that long, It's always been a steady work in progress for me. Depending on where you buy parts from, dictates how much you will invest on a Kitt car. Ecto's roof props were fabricated in my garage in 3 months. :-) Looking at still shots, movie pics, then making a bunch of trips to the hardware store. :-)
He has a bunch of new add on parts for it as well as more BTTF conversion parts to add. Maybe by summer time we'll have more time to get her finished. :-)
Not sure when our next cruise is, but all this week I have Ecto 1 at the Tulsa Zoo for Hallow-Zoo-een. We are performing there with her with our Ghostbusters gear. The Jurassic Park Jeep will be in the parking lot, but Kitt is staying at home. Thanks for the nice words...maybe our paths will cross around Oklahoma? Peace man.
As of now, I'm working on some new additions for Kitt. They may take another month or so to finish, but when they're done, be sure I'll post a vid of them. :-)
