I finally managed to view some pictures in 3D but I still find it very hard to use this method for videos. Funny thing is it's pretty hard to keep your eyes locked into one place until you actually see a clear image. At that point you can even slightly move your eyes up and down to see the entire picture.

@darktiger113 Try looking down at your nose with the movie. The two pictures should merge together but blurry. your mind will then fixate on that picture, then sharpen the image by focusing on that picture. worked for me :)

@goldnx practice first on a still image, once you get the hang of that move onto video, hardest part is resisting the temptation to refocus on something, once you find the right focus you dont change it.
