@MrTjalvu A lot of people think the lake is dirty, so they joke about it. The truth is that Lake Erie is the 2nd cleanest of the great lakes (Lake Superior is 1st) and Lake Erie is the most thriving fresh water ecosystem in all of North America. The lake is extremely clean, considering their are 2 major cities and 4 industrial ports on it. Oh, and the waves get HUGE! Bigger than Florida waves, but it also can be calm like glass.
