I have an 04 TL 5AT and I raced a 2010 335i 6MT while I was not in sport shift mode and it beat me by only a car length at 60 and we let off. Turns out sport shift mode gives me an extra 200 rpms at the top of 1st gear and an extra 450 rpms at top of every other gear, if I was in Sport shift mode, I trust the race would have been a lot different.

@olutop1 either ur full of shit or the driver in the 335i is garbage.335i does 0-60 under 5sec and 1/4 mile mid 16s. just go drive one for yourself,u'll be suprised how fast it is.
@6969razvan mid 16's? for 335i om a 1/4 mile? what are u smoking either that or someone cant drive....TL's could do mid-high 14's and for the 335i ill say around mid-high 13's. unless the tl is s/c then the1/4 mile would be close. but if hes on the highway its a whole different story....TL does have the power to keep up.
Wrong. Not cause its awd. TL had a bad launch. 328 0-60 is 6-7 seconds. If it was manual it'd be low 6. Type-S is Low to mid 5 second. On a drag strip you'd really see the big difference lol,
@Jack720Misc How did the TL pass the BMW before he said 60? He said "I beat him 0-60". And if you know anything about cars in general, you'd know that 2nd gear in most cars peaks out above or right around 60mph. And the BMW was clearly in front of the TL when that happened, as well as a fair amount of 3rd gear as well. Learn something, and pay attention before you try to make an argument.
