  • im not even gonna lie bruh i fucks with your drums man your sounds are outragious...people who hatin just dnt know how to be creative thats all. i was fuckin with it when it was drum club 500 my homie dj duck put me on to you.. your drums give beats unique character

  • Still havent got my "4 free kits"

Made contact via email with Somebody (who I assume) runs the website but Still... NOTHING...

  • I wanna buy some but u guys only put like 8 to 10 kick for like $14 and i want lots of kick .i think there should more in the packs man come on .but they seem to sound great though.

  • @Madlove4life2009 Our kits in that price range all have at least 30 or more sounds.

  • i said way we using wack samples..

becuse we dont have mony to buy good samples..

  • I design my own sounds and I would not have it any other way. Basically if I hear a nice clear, clean kick drum in a soul song, i will chop it out and use different compression, eq, pitch, cutoff, ect on the same kick to make a whole bunch of different kicks out of that one chop. To tell you the truth, I HATE the type of drum sounds that are for modern day radio. That is what is wrong with todays Hip Hop. The beats always use that hard limiting stuff for radio for max volume

  • Well, then this aint for u. I keep having this circle-argument about "Hip Hop" - this aint about philosophy but QUALITY. Todays Hip Hop, was nothing to do with QUALITY as far as sound base is concerned & truthfully, just chopping the same samples from the same records aint cutting it. We can keep going back & forth about whut ppl USED TO DO, or SHOULD DO NOW. But its 2011! If u dont like the state of the game, CHANGE IT. Im not the problem - I want it to get better. *This is my attempt.*

  • I agree with u as far a modern day stuff, but its 1, not all bad & 2, not all for the radio. However, the point of sound design is to create something new to be used to the best of its ability. The subject "Hip Hop" is different. The issue here is we producers have/are still using recycled sounds that are so out-dated & are not on par with the sonic quality of todays EQUIPMENT. Running Oberheim DMX Drums through Pro Tools is not gonna make a difference in quality. Thats the overall point here.

  • Just get reason or one of the many other freebie 909/808 soft synths and you can make your own, if you can't be bothered to make your own, then music composition isn't for you. ;) You'll be just like the rest of them, nothing like the best of them.

  • AGAIN. NO modern-day Hip Hop Producer is looking to use 909/808 on every beat they make. Thats a guarantee! It seems like all the ppl making comments here ARE NOT really Hip Hop Producers. Because, no self-respecting Hip Hop Producer would be questioning whether or not they should just go get "freebie" drums, like 909/808 instead of the "BOOM BAP"(If you have to Google this, Uve proved my point), nonetheless. And if so, this is the exact thing Im railing against in 2011 - NO MORE WACK DRUMS!

  • @kicksandsnarescorp No, you have wrong again. his is just pure laziness. Back in the days good hip hop producers would dig for days, weeks months for some rare ass samples and some nice breaks and then phatten them up themselves.

This is just a bunch of kicks n snares that a load of people will buy realising they can do just as much with their standard equipment and come up with something ORIGINAL, rather than bought and used by a million and one different wannabee's.

  • and whuts NOT "lazy" about using the same breaks and samples that have been over and over again?? I keep having this circle-argument about "Hip Hop" - this aint about philosophy but QUALITY. Just chopping the same samples from the same records aint cutting it no more! We can keep going back & forth about whut ppl USED TO DO, or SHOULD DO NOW. But its 2011! If u dont like the state of the game, CHANGE IT. Im not the problem - I want it to get better. *This is my attempt.*

  • @kicksandsnarescorp You are instilling that it is ok to be lazy and not have to dig deep to find that something special. There is nothing special about these' hit's you are pimpin, they are the same tripe that most have been pumping out, which is why all hip hop/rap sounds the same now.

Best bet these days is a live drummer or real drums...not wack samples that everyone and their momma has. Sorry to be harsh but the days of good producers and dj's, if this is the standard beats, is long gone.

  • WHUT!? How retarded!! So, UR saying "digging" is some how of higher standard. Then by that same definition, doesnt resampling & looping vinyl fall under the same category of being "lazy"!? GTFOH!! LOL Go ahead and grab those 4 free kits before u speak on something u apparently know nothing about kuz uve nevr used K&S Drums to say something so presumptuous...

  • @kicksandsnarescorp Diggin and coming up with something original from obscure breaks and beats is an art form. Buying the latest shit on the box is for commercial wannabe's. Free kits? I wouldn't waste my bandwidth ;) I'll leave chart music beats to those who need them ... the lame corporate whores who spew out the same crap daily.

I've listened through most of your catalogue via site, there's little that is new or original, more like standard with some effects thrown on to make it sound new.

  • @Room16Tattoo ...But OK, Ill entertain--Lets make a bet. I BET u cant find ANY HIP HOP DRUMS like K&S Drums online, good as or better, that we either didnt make, had a hand in, or rnt part of the network. U do this & ILL SHUT THE WHOLE SHIT DOWN. Otherwise, QUIT HATIN- ITS 2011! Leave that negativity in 2010!!

  • @kicksandsnarescorp Why would I want to waste my time doing that? All i've heard from your samples on the site are standard samples from every other library, with some effects on it, that ain't new, it's trying to profiteer off the backs of those who can't be arsed to make something new.

I ain't hatin', i'm just statin' that ur beats ain't what you think and the more companies like you spring up, the more stale and reproduced it will become, it's like the damn xfactor or some shit.

  • LOL UR a STRAIGHT HATER - I mean uve already "wasted ur time" sending all these hateful replies but still didnt provide proof of ANY of ur claims. Lets hear UR beats--Post a link. Im still trippin on how u put "digging" & "original" in the same sentence & likely did it with a straight face. lol @ the end of the day, this just aint for u. Respect. But until u can provide alternatives, ur point is worthless. Ur like a Republican: All complaints & no action. Whut do u plan to do to make it better?

  • @kicksandsnarescorp Yup I agree, I'm a straight hater of bullshit breaks lol.

Indeed I did say original and diggin in the same sentence and oldskool producers like Pete rock, Premier knew how to turn something old into something new and worth the time to listen to.

The proof you seek is available on most hip hop records over the past few years.

My beats, I don't waste my time, I don't do hip hop and I have a live drummer ;) The drummer plays the beats...without having to resort to pop samples

  • WOW - U MAD... OK. Again, this aint for u. So, lets just stop here & u keep it movin on to wherever it is ur headed. We both will be fine. But until u got something better that ppl wanna hear, ur complaints just make u look like a hater: thats the definition of hate. Still dont get it? read the 1st line of the description again "Tired of out-dated, over-used & just plain BAD Drum Samples? We are too!" We're on the same team, homie! Apparently u dont see that. All good. I wish u all the best..

  • @Room16Tattoo - WAIT, IF U DONT EVEN DO HIP HOP, WHY THE FUCK ARE U SPEAKIN? BOOO - U SOUND CRAZY - PUSH THE HATER BULLSHIT ONTO SOMEWHERE ELSE, HOMIE. ITS 2011 - AND JUST LIKE IN HIP HOP, SHOW N PROVE OR STFU!!!

  • @kicksandsnarescorp And calling me crazy, in the below post you made your last comments were....

"read the 1st line of the description again "Tired of out-dated, over-used & just plain BAD Drum Samples? We are too!" We're on the same team, homie! Apparently u dont see that. All good. I wish u all the best.."

Then post this crap....you sound more schizophrenic than you imply that I am ;)

    Peace n Chicken Grease.

    P.S. your beats bounce......

    Like a bad cheque!

  • Tweaking what you have is far more satisfying than using someone else's creations

  • These comments are starting to make less & less sense... Unless you are a Sound designer(as K&S Is) and have the appropriate equipment and/or know-how to create brand new sounds from thin air, so-to-speak, "using whut u have" STILL means you first had to get those Sounds you already *have* to be able to 'tweak' them. Am I wrong!? So, its in a sense all the same. How/where DO u get ur sounds, anyway?

  • @kicksandsnarescorp Well in theory almost all DAWs have sample sounds right out of the box. That should be well enough. Don't get me wrong, sometimes you just need to get right to composing and that's when those kits come in handy. I didn't mean to criticize, I just like to do it myself

  • Sure, u can use some DAWs' stuff right outta the box but the truth is, ud be hard pressed to find ANY DAW that has INDUSTRY STANDARD Sounds prepared for todays Hip Hop and R&B Production--They just dont exist, as MOST DAWs are geared toward dance music. If u know of one, id love to see it. No disrespect taken, ur just stating ur opinion. With that, another truth is, at the end of the day u cant make a 909 Snare sound like a MODERN-day Hip Hop Snare for radio, PERIOD. U just cant milk a turkey..

  • oh yeah everyone says that he have the better drum sets just buy buy and fucking BUY them... - but i dont give a shit and sample my own

  • @Radium1337 - WHY PPL FEEL LIKE THEY JUST *HAVE* TO POST THE MOST HATEFUL SHIT? IF U DISAGREE, WHY EVEN SPEAK? THIS MY FRIEND, IS THE TRUE DEFINITION OF **HATING**

ITS 2011 - LET KEEP THE NEGATIVITY IN 2010 - KEEP IT MOVIN!!!!

  • @kicksandsnarescorp

Can't i just tell you my opinion? Can't i critisize your video? Am i like a hater who dont knows whats he talking about, just because i dont like the idea of selling drums? In this who-sells-the-better-drums-online competition every drum selling website tells you that you have the best drum kits, but why should i buy some when i can sample my own? don't you do that, too? i started sampling by vinyl about 2 months ago and got now about 200 drums, and i NEVER would sell them!

  • sure, but heres my thing- K&S is a SOUND DESIGN LIBRARY, not a "resampling company". NO, we dont sample vinyl & try pass off as 'new' drums. & thats my point. according to THIS video, we wanna bring something new to the table. we arent like other sites & for the most part, we dislike whut they do for music production: WE WANT BETTER! They "claim" it, but we ARE the best & anybody who uses K&S Drums KNOWS we aint them. The 'hate' comes from ppl who pre-judge. SO, heres 4 free kits for proof...

  • The trick is not to use premade kit samples AT ALL. This stuff is wack aswell, the best way is to customize it too your likings using envelope and effects

  • @DiederikYBaan - OK, fair enough. But Id like to hear YOUR "customized" joints. Where can I find them?

  • @kicksandsnarescorp my joints are up on Soundcloud slash Doctrations

  • OK. Just checked em out. See, heres the problem. THESE DRUM (K&S) are for HIP HOP producers, built for THEIR EARS & beats. So I dont quite see how u have any valid point, when 9 of 10 of the tracks on ur first page are either Dubstep or Trip Hip - NOT even in the same sonic spectrum, homie--& the only Hip Hop *track* you had CLEARLY has STOCK DRUMS on it. PLUS all your tracks are distorted & clipping, so i cant tell. I truly appreciate your "passion" or whutever, but its a no-go on ur "customs"

  • @kicksandsnarescorp

So I produce hip-hop, house, dubstep and everything around, but I don't think that what I produce has anything to do with the fact that making your own drum samples sound better, which was what I was saying. Also check the dates, your prolly aiming at afternoon supper, but people grow and learn. and yes I use drum samples but by customizing envelope, filter, compression, EQ or other FX, you can get great customisation and a original sound.

  • Just so you know - Im responding to your "not to use 'premade'...this stuff is wack as well" comment, that was followed by "the best way is to customize..." - then to find out all ur tracks have 909's drums.. WTH!? Whuts so custom and un-'premade' about that? Im also a House, Techno, Schranz & down-beat Producer, and I know DAMN WELL theres a difference between all the "customized' yet STOCK Drums in ur tracks and Drums TRULY customized for Hip Hop. Still, a NO-GO.

  • @kicksandsnarescorp

true that, guess a case of miscommunication and word "abuse".

Yeah big fan of Roland 909's and 808's! :D

PS clipping and distortion is mainly due to Soundclouds quality.

  • Again, fair enough. Its just ppl are so quick to dislike something, with no back up or proof of something better. Truth is, theres SO much terrible shit out there that I end up catching part of ppls discontent with other Sample "Providers". But Im here to tell u, IM SO NOT LIKE THEM. Ask any of the K&S customers. Im all about quality, when other are not. But I feel you on the 909 & 808 too - I gotta, Im a Techno kat at heart. lol

  • @kicksandsnarescorp

Hey man, my apologies. Just checked your other vids checking the site. And man I'm getting interested! Truly respect man, I know what ur saying. I was too pre-judgemental.

  • @DiederikYBaan - NO WORRIES AT ALL - appreciate the respect. Just tryin to do good where others arent! - lmk whut u think about those other vids too. Oh. Peep my Techno page - myspace[dot]com[slash]killgravity

  • sick made guy lol

  • I did a youtube video with the "BABYOIL" sample pack bought from you months ago. Got your "free" drum kit when I filled out your survey. I well admit you have nice shit but your hi hhats just don;t do it for me!!!! Do you have some dope ass hi hats in your kits???

  • @ch19otr - LOL fair enough. well, we have some over at 10packsonline[dot]com - about 16 hat kits, but it all comes down to whut ur looking for, really. not every kit is built for fot same set of ears. ya know? i mean, i dont even like every kit. lol thats just realistic. but check it out - u might find something u like :)

  • I don't make beats but I agree with everything you said

  • @oblongatta - well, thats the spirit! :)
