Though I was curious exactly how he plays that bass part, it's just it seems like he may be intentionally it a bit more difficultly (with all those jumps and slides) to make it a little more interesting to watch, I'm pretty sure it can be played with just open strings and the second and third fret on a 6 string.

@coldproject I think the music is very similar to Tool, but I don't agree about that this drummer, or even Danny is god lol. Seriously Danny is NOT god he's just outstanding in the rock genre, if you look in to metal, especially math, he won't be any better than these drummers.

Is there a connection between Tool and Karnivool by the way?

Wow, their vocalist is spot-on live. That's amazing. It's a shame that the band doesn't have much stage presence, though. The bassist is the only one who seems very into it.

I was at this gig it was amazing! I came to see Skindred but then these guys came on and got me mesmerized. Don't get me wrong, Skindred were so sick, it was just an all round piece of genius. And the sound was amazingly good for a grimey venue like the ballroom, repping the sound man!!
