1. the level is on the side of a main level go to the levels on the side and hit over once more. you purchase these with points, which are earned through obtaining medals.

2. ace medal is better than gold, and takes basically expert skill to obtain. killing lots of enemies, not using targeting computer, not loosing any friendlies, completeing the mission as quick as possible, and not dying.
