While I can appreciate the willingness to accept such words at face value and attribute them to Mohammad, any/all works concerning Sunnah depend on the original works by Ishaq, Tabari, Hisham, Bukhari and Muslim. When it comes to hadith, we must defer to Bukhari and Muslim, because their work was the most exhaustive and is the oldest. They sorted though 100s of 1,000s of sayings attributed to Mohd and only came up with about 6,000 Sahih Hadith.

I was actually trying to find another hadith where Muhammed (pbuh) condemned people who take the religion to extremes, but I stumbled on to this one and thought I show you what I mean. It is true that "Two Sahihs" in Bukhari and Muslim are the most authenticated and trusted. Nasa'i comes third among sunnis in terms of strength.
Of course if you're going to say Muhammed (SAW) said it is ok to kill "innocents", you're going to have to back that up with a strong hadith.

I can tell you though, to my knowledge, the hadith you cite isnt contained in either the Sahih Bukhari, or Muslim...and I've read them all. Sunan an Nasa'i was published in 1986. Mohammad died in 631AD. So Al Nasa'i's work is akin to me writing a biography of Charles Martel, who died in 740AD, my work could only be based on what came before. A copy of a copy of a copy. Not Sahih.
The Prophet (SAW) said: "Religion is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near to perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded; and gain strength by worshipping in the mornings, the nights." @shawner69 I highly doubt it would cost more than the aid. I read an article that stated an estimated 200+ million in aid was given out. Most of the aid was stolen as it was dry rations. [Surprise] Truth is, I would rather have contractors defending the aid and aid workers. At least the aid would get to its intended target successfully. PMC's would just fill the job the U.S. had back in 1993.

By "weren't comfortable with Al Shabaab" you must mean not comfortable with having their aid workers killed regularly, they did not pull out, they were driven out with violence. I have no hatred of Muslims. I have extreme prejudice against the Al Shabaab organization for refusing aid (for any reason) while children drop dead daily in Somalia.

The situation is dire in the south b/c of Al-Shabab, who follow a Wahhabi form of Islam (very strict).

@wideawake123 Actually its a lot more complicated than that. When Somalia had nearly set up their government only a few years ago, the USA and Ethiopia went in and destroyed it. In 1991 prior to the Black Hawk Down incident, it was Pakistan who destroyed the Somali government.

@matro1991 Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman of Egypt's Al Azar Univeristy where he was the professor of Islamic Jurisprudence and considered the most prominent Muslim cleric in Egypt. Aka, "The Blind Shiekh". The other cleric I referred to was Shiekh Yusef Qaradawi, the spiritual leader of Ikwan Muslimun...also very prominent Muslim Cleric. I have read dozens of fatwas though from many clerics. Have They Also got the wrong idea? Mohammad himself said it was ok to kill innocents if they were in the way.

@matro1991 Sunan an Nasa'i Is author-not narrator. While I can appreciate the willingness to accept such words at face value and attribute them to Mohammad, any/all works concerning Sunnah depend on the original works by Ishaq, Tabari, Hisham, Bukhari and Muslim. When it comes to hadith, we must defer to Bukhari and Muslim, because their work was the most exhaustive and is the oldest. They sorted though 100s of 1,000s of sayings attributed to Mohd and only came up with about 6,000 Sahih Hadith.

I was actually trying to find another hadith where Muhammed (pbuh) condemned people who take the religion to extremes, but I stumbled on to this one and thought I show you what I mean. It is true that "Two Sahihs" in Bukhari and Muslim are the most authenticated and trusted. Nasa'i comes third among sunnis in terms of strength.
Of course if you're going to say Muhammed (SAW) said it is ok to kill "innocents", you're going to have to back that up with a strong hadith.

I can tell you though, to my knowledge, the hadith you cite isnt contained in either the Sahih Bukhari, or Muslim...and I've read them all. Sunan an Nasa'i was published in 1986. Mohammad died in 631AD. So Al Nasa'i's work is akin to me writing a biography of Charles Martel, who died in 740AD, my work could only be based on what came before. A copy of a copy of a copy. Not Sahih.
