As Ron Paul said last night, America is moving into a new era, one that will change our way of living. Americans are going to be forced, through this economic down turn, to learn about economics and how to apply it to their survival. Times really are a change'un
Hillary seems to think that the Government should keep banks from enforcing their contracts. Adj rate freeze foreclosure mortitorum etc. Shows how freakin stupid she is. the rates are dropping so some people on ARMS have lower payments than people on fixed rates. What next cant kick out renters who do not pay or get our car repo-ed
all the other canidates are not making money, giuliani is not paying their staff, and huckabee is starting to not pay their staff too, mccain has been struggling with the money issue since his camp. began, and romney "the millionaire" has lost millions on his own campaign, with nothing to show for it
PS I do not agree with everything Paul is saying but overall, he's the one who knows how monetary policy works except all the morons in Congress, and he is the one who can change the path the country is heading! I also think the so called 'stimulus plan' for economy in 08 will be in a form of US-IRAN WAR!
My response to you is ... all the current problems could have been avoided years ago, only if Greenspan listened right advisors! The only problem with Ron Paul is that he's 100% right on that!
My video but also read description 'Appraisers Petition 2002': watch?v=9GsxGmR6uPk
PS AI do not agree with everything Paul is saying but overall, he's the one the path you are heading!
I'm very very very PISSED OFF on Jean-Claude Triche (EBC) for helping you FOLKS, your financial system, with short term lending with over 300 BILLION Euros ($500 BILLION) cash injection causing here in EU INFLATION PRESURE!
You you wanna go DOWN, you're welcome, but DO NOT drug us with you!
We are in the same shit. America adopted every european positions. From a central bank and an aggressive foreign policy to the dumb and naive idea of the welfare state. Unfortunately Europeans are less likely to understand how bad these things are than Americans.
I appreciate Neil's show of respect and the thoughtful questions he posed to Dr.Paul. Ron's answers are clear understandable to the general population. He doesn't sound like a political "soundbite". ie:Obama/Clinton/McCain/Romney/Huckleberry witht their "change" B.S. Ron was talking real change for years without using the word "change". His actions in congress speak loud & clear. He puts his money where his mouth is. I want to see more interviews like this in the coming weeks.
And this is why this man must win. There is not another candidate who understands monetary policy like Dr. Paul. They can't touch him- studying economics has been his life. If our economy falls, nothing else really matters does it? VOTE DR. PAUL or we'll be meeting each other in bread lines.
I disagree, I think Dr. Paul is extremely articulate. He is able to explain extremely complex things to the layman, with those 100 words, which other people would need thousands to do.
But why is he so inarticulate? Everytime he speaks, he takes 100 words to say something that needs only 20. It makes him sound like he's rambling; he loses the average viewer (except the folks who already understand).
If he could speak more clearly, he'd get more votes. Maybe almost double. Sigh.
I think the problem is not Dr. Paul's communication skills. The general public is very uneducated with regards to economical issues. A good example is the housing bubble where people took lones that they could not afford. At least ask what the monthly playments will be in 3 years when I have to start paying also the prinicpal and my interest rate adjusts.
If people would truly understand the issues that Ron Paul raises everybody would vote for him. (execpt the people in power) RON PAUL 2008!!!
I agree that the public is uneducated about economic issues. But Ron Paul's job is to educate them. That's why he needs to explain his ideas more clearly. He needs to be a good teacher, and unfortunately (despite his good ideas) he's a pretty bad teacher.
We need to allow ourselves to criticize our candidate. He ain't perfect. And it's his *responsibility* to get the voters to understand.
the problem is he doesn't get enough national air time to go through the issues. I would bet he wants to explain exactly what he's talking about and go through it. Just not enough time in a less then a minute answer.
Considering the lack of media exposure he gets it's understandable that he wants to say as much as possible when he gets the opportunity and when your running on a message of sound money and non-interventionism you will have a hard time explaining your case in 5 minute installments. ...as opposed to saying how much you want to CHANGE or how many JOBS you are magically going to CREATE.
Hopefully people will pick up on his honesty and character and look him up on the internet.
The tax rebate is gonna be a flash in the pan. The only houses I can find for $1600 say "This side up" on them. I don't really believe that any of the candidates know what to do about this economy. We're in for a rough ride, but Ron Paul will make sure we don't do the wrong things.
I used to support Obama until I realized his lack of economic ideas. He says he wants to lower taxes, but how will he pay for all the foreign aid and intervention if the govt has no tax revenue? Will he borrow MORE money from the Federal Reserve??? My fear of an economic crash, not terrorism, is going to determine my vote. Actually, it allready has. I'm voting for Paul. He knows more about the way things work than anyone else, or he's the only one willing to truly change things.
Don't you see that is the old line repeated again and again; "Well, I'll do it better than the last guy." But then nothing changes, or it just gets worse. Government has no ability to properly regulate because it's employees have no incentive to do the best job that they can. However, individuals can have the incentive necessary to do well for themselves.
Cavuto does not call him a kook now when he mentioned having the dollar backed by gold. Maybe Ron Paul is getting thru his hard head and the realities of economic collapse starting to sink in.
why would businesses enslave people? where do they get the power to enslave people? if businesses ever cared about making a profit, they would do the complete opposite of what you predict, which is to meet the demand of the people.
You said it! While the other candidates are starting to run out of cash, Ron Paul's campaign is picking up momentum. It's hard to deny his reasonable positions and solutions.
I am proud to refer to myself (if or when people ask) as being a "Ron Paul Republican". Hopefully this will be a new term and new part of the party that people can claim...just like being a Reagan Republican...there will be future people running as Ron Paul Republicans! Ron Paul is truly an American hero.
Instead of calling yourself a "Ron Paul Republican"--how about an Old Right Republican, ya know the ones: Taft, Goldwater, Buchanan, etc. We are just trying to take our party back from the neo-conservatives.

You gotta love this guy.
He's campaigning, and yet he doesn't go into politician mode. He talks truth, educates, and stays humble.
Any other candidate would have never come close to the real economic details, and would have been posturing and blowing smoke.
You either get him, or you don't.
