  • 1:51 best solo ever :DDD

  • whats that thing moving on the plate at 0.27? looks snaily but dont think they can move like that

  • YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!!

  • ccooooome ooooon!!

  • What exactly are they eating from the plates?? Or is it best I don't ask?

  • Some things HAVE to go off!

    :D*

  • SUCK ON THIS BUSSINES MUSIC!!!!!!

  • im an amerifag and i love it

  • what i love SO MUCH besides the song's pure beauty and kick-ass-ness is the video's VHS 10th generation bootleg quality. When Bill is talking at the end, it isn't so much funny as it is quite fucking disturbing and imposing :) Love the way Tim is reacting to Bill's little poem too, like he's there to enjoy the show but is seething inside, ready to hurt somebody again XD

  • unhinged! brilliant

  • I feel like an ice lolly now.

  • Mentalists.

  • Awsome live

  • Disterbinglllly Brillliaannnt

  • Popsicles are hard.

  • Absolutely brilliant track, and great video too.

  • @mrjollypantsjolly .... o my gosh I didn't know that this is what music was, here I've live so long without knowing.... thank you so much for enlightening the world with your in depth knowledge of "music". .............."Any drummer could play this thing. Probably any retard, But of course it really isnt playing an instrument. Its cheating using technology. Yeah, all... "

  • @ghost050 MMM , and whats your contibution to the musical world? In fact, much of the Cardiacs is extremely difficult to play, notably in fact. Would you like to try, perhaps with one of your silly toys. HA HA. Proove your intelligence by explaining the time signatures in this any other Cardiacs tracks. Gotcha!! In particular, seeing as you appear to know all about drumming, please refer to the time signatures in As cold as can be in ann English sea, not evern your man toys can do that!!

  • @mrjollypantsjolly t he begining sounds 5 over 4 love this band but everyone is influence by something go check out gong and frank zappa his time signitures this band ive love for years but can here gong so much plus listened to king crimson with bill brouford on drums still great music but im sure if you spoke too those guys theyd prob say they like gong

  • I'm scared

  • The only shit bit of this video is from 3.08 onwards. Up until then it's maybe the greatest thing ever produced by man...

  • 1:34 onwards ... fuck yes!

    Actually, 0:00 onwards, fuck yes.

  • cocaine is a hell of a drug

  • guitar hero expert mode on 1:51

  • Oh yes, the classic line-up ...

  • How have I lived 38 years on this planet without hearing about this band ?!!!!!

    Fantastic.

  • @suexian cuz you're old.

  • amazing!!!!

  • @mynameismudddd algo mejor que vos hacen jujujaju

  • i think this beats the competition for weirdest cardiacs video by far

  • this is so great. they are the best

  • in yours to come, they wil look back in wonder...

  • What album is this actually on?

  • @MrDianWei "The Seaside"

  • @SuperMelon1

    Ah yes, silly me.

  • Saw them about 23 years ago in a pub when they headlined a bill i was on. Blew me away.

  • All there songs sound so frantic... and I love it.

  • Thank God for the Cardiacs - first time I saw them in the 80's i just stood there with my mouth open - great songs and hilarious on stage.

  • Sheer Brilliance ! .... there is nothing that can touch this ....

  • i really need to listen to this band a LOT more.

  • @andrewneedsalawn Yes, if you like this get the seaside, then everything else. Brilliant.

  • Cardiacs are certainly an acquired taste - and that's exactly as it should be. Tim is a genius, every bit as talented as Zappa for my money.

  • oh your from america now i understand

  • zeffantm u prick

  • SO I FIGURED I'D GIVE THE BOYS A HOLIDAY. i'll let them tell you all about it.

  • @zeffantm yeah playing a 7/4 beat is only for the very untalented musicians

  • @zeffantm Little musical talent?!?! Fair enough thats your opinion, but may I ask why you think they have little talent?

  • @zeffantm and you clearly know nothing about them. This is just one of many incarnations of the band. Go and listen to every single one of their records, now.

  • @zeffantm clearly you know nothing about them and the talent they possess .... Best you stick to listening to Britney or whatever shite you listen to ....

  • @zeffantm oh, and just worked out that you're a Yank .... explains a lot ....

  • @zeffantm Brain dead fucker

  • This video is nasty. Love 'em.

  • is everbody happy? we jolly well will be when Tim gets, won't we?

  • Superb. Get well soon Tim.

  • 21st century nutzoid band! Somewhere between Devo and Van der Graf Generator.

  • Best guitar solo of all time, by the way

  • Agreed. Michael Schenker/Gary Moore/etc. etc. eat your heart out

  • en un futuro lejano...esta cancion nos salvara

  • esta bueno, es muy infravalorado por los medios

  • vean el mejor solo de la historia-to go off and thingas

  • mire este video y fui eterno

  • muy bueno como siempre

  • Cast dispersions on my love song.... Things Left On The Floor ! ! !

  • oO the - c o n s u l t a n t -

    :O

  • 1:02-1:12 this part of music is very caotic and some scary

  • 1.41 - 1.48 probably my fave 7 seconds of music ever

  • JIM CAME RUNNING DOWN THE HILL!!!!!!!

  • ha ha ha, brilliant & genius! This makes MrBungle sound like N'sync :)

Hats off to Brits, you gave us Ozrics and Cardiacs, could anyone want more?

  • i remember reading 86 like it was yesterday!

  • When faced with a predicament...all becomes fine again when i picture jim running down the hill...

  • Reading 86 was good but Stonehenge 84 was better. Outrageously loud set by the Cardiacs at 4am on Solstice morning. For me, they topped a very good Hawkwind performance.

  • Amazing talent, the timing & changes are totally amazing

yes im very happy, would you like some tea?

  • This makes me incredibly happy indeed! Reading 86 changed my life and i still can't get enough of 'The Seaside'. SMARTNESSNESS!

  • you were there too?

  • Utter genius. Man with ice lolly gets me everytime.

  • MAD = NICE !

  • it's in 7/4

  • they seem to have anxiety problems

  • oh my god. looked up 'tarred and feathered' on a whim/random 80s 'Tube' flashback and found all this brilliance. any pointers on where to start albums-wise, please anyone? Ta.

  • Personally, I'd try and find the Seaside album.

  • Start: Guns

    Sing To God 1&2

On Land and In the Sea

    Whatever comes after those.

  • yes, the seaside album, mares nest, on land and sea, sing to god 1&2, (the sampler is a good start compolation) give guns a miss as it lacks all the brilliance of the old cardiacs....

  • 'On Land and in the Sea' is classic Cardiacs at the height of their powers.

  • Totally subjective but as a newcomer would suggest:

A little man and a house and the whole world window !! (worth it alone for Is This The Life!!)

ON Land and in the sea

    The Seaside

Enjoy...to see The Cardiacs live is an honour!

  • The Seaside definitely, you'll be a bit hard pressed to find it, but it's possible.

  • You can get pretty much all the Cardiacs back catalogue on their website

  • Hmmm....depends really...

Common consensus seems to be that On Land and in the Sea is a good place to start, but I'd say that everything from Archive Cardiacs, through The Seaside, to Heaven Born Ever Bright would be good. Can't really recommend anything after Guns- because I missed a few years then due to Spawning- and see those albums in a different light.

  • Oceanland World and all the Sea Nymphs stuff is unmissable too. Pick a mix of songs- Big Ship is a classic, as is Stoneage Dinosaurs- and the Everso Closely Guarded Line. Used to try making Cardiacs compilations for people, and the only way I could choose was to group songs by mood. There are so many, and not a bad one among them!! Good luck & happy listening!

  • jumblebum, pure jumblebum.

    Slovely.

  • I laughed until my ass came off at the short scene of the Consultant scolding one watering his potted plant.

  • best part of the video, I thought I was the only one who thought that was hilarious

  • words are utterly useless when it comes to describing how fucking mental this bunch are? so heres sum numbers 5846873098284759 GREAT STUFF.

  • i wonder if the alphabet business concern are using cardiacs as mind control. i think they are. you want to see more don't you?

  • WHAT. THE. FUCK.

  • My, THE CONSULTANT is quite oily.

  • I have it on good authority that Seaside Treats will be an extra on a new DVD coming out sometime soon. Bloody brilliant.

  • yes yes yes and bloody yes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Love their music...

However, there are few bands I can think of who can produce music videos of such visceral unpleasantness.

  • cardiacs fucking rule can anyone get hold of seaside treats vhs or a copy?

  • A very very good pizza?

  • Oh, please, more Cardiacs!!!!

  • jim tim and sarah are the fuckin best love this song

  • I just spaffed. Oh yes CARDIACS! How can I get hold of this VHS?!!! And what else is on it?

  • I hear the video is out of print and very hard to find.

  • better look after my copy then!

  • Oh god yes

  • I've been wanting to see anything by the Cardiacs for ages now! Superb! I loved it!!

  • wow

  • fucking yes
