I run THREE Norn's Annex and Elish Norn in a deck, for casual. It's pretty sick, and makes you not only immune from token decks, but pretty much immune from attacking creatures all together. Pay 6 life per creature to swing at me? Ouch!

P2 plays a creature, P1 plays Due Respect in response, draws a card, and can swing next turn with P2s creature not being able to block... But yeah, pretty boring.

Cards that do nothing but gain you life are like bad drugs. The first time you use it, it feels great because it gives you the feeling that you can't be stopped. But as time goes on, you feel like you need to use more just to stay ahead, then just to catch up, until using as many as you've got does nothing to help you. Don't use drugs, and don't use life gain spells.

Due Respect is a counter against a Haste cast, and probably will pop up in some interesting foil deck. Like a lot of cards in New Phyrexia, it's a powerhouse sidedeck card, but it doesn't do much in an average match up.

Norn's Annex is legit awesome, watched one of my friends play in a booster draft where his opponent was red / green and this guy lost simply because he couldn't find an answer to it. Now granted I doubt it will see much play in this standard, but come rotation it's going to see it's day in the sun.

@brawlboi I think you only need one relic warder and one metamorph. The life is from like.. suture priest or the sister. When the metamorph comes in, you copy the relic warder, and then target itself since it's an artifact. When it exiles, it leaves play, and then comes back into play because the relic warder effect is no longer on the field.

I think Marrow Shards is important in Limited.

So many of the scary undercosted common guys in Limited like Porcelain Legionnaire or the 2/1 flyer, turn two 2/1 infect, turn three 2/1 first strike infecter have been given 1 toughness.

I'm sure Gut Shot and Marrow Shards are in the set to balance the game against those guys.
