There is your problem you have the shitty 3 ch Rectifier probably with the stock mesa tubes in it also. FYI those tubes are garbage and the 3 ch ones are garbage if you get a dual rec get a old 2 ch one and throw JJ'S in it you will not be disappointed.

I use to own #691 Mesa Roadking series 1 and my ch 2 dual rec would own it any day especially with the JJ tubes in it. And that is with having JJ tubes in both amps.
