Just got mines today. The guy in the gunshop said you cant possess, a handgun at age 18 in the state of Georgia i know hes wrong..does anyone know where i can get official/legal documentation to prove this?
I dont have 550 for a glock but i want one BAD...but i do shoot a cpx29mm and i hate that cheap federal amo from walmart 10$ 50 shells and i had a jam almost evrey four Rnds...so i cleaned my gun and i go with winchester 115 grain and hornady zombie amo 115g for cc!!! srry for the spelling!!
Here's a nice idea for targets, especially far away: balloons with a tablespoon of flower or talcum powder in them. The powder only adds to the visual effect. Exploding balloons far away aren't exactly very spectacular. With the powder you get the extra effect and it will be easy to spot wether or not you hit it. Every time one explodes you get a big white cloud....! ;-)
@crashwg I already checked their webby. they don't have all kydex holsters. all of theirs have leather. i found some NTAC ones that look similar but i'm not sure.
@hogsmaws If you pause the video right when it starts you'll see the telltale Crossbreed clips. I suppose Hickok may have swapped them onto another holster though...
@africanfish2001 u just have to find out what your gun likes to eat. I have the same model as u and I have good luck with American Eagle, Winchester express, and hand loads. I had nothing but problems with Federal Premium hydra shock. Gave em to a friend and his Barretta did fine with em.

@gearsofmuffin, I don't know the laws in your state, but in Tennessee I think a person is allowed to own a handgun if he or she is 18 or over; they just can't purchase one from an FFL dealer. Very strange. An FFL cannot sell to a nineteen-year-old, but the nineteen-year-old can own a handgun. Check your laws.

Hi I hope you respond. Does the GEN1 Glock 17 have to be using specific rounds. Am using Herters and it shoots good for 14 to 20 rounds then the pin doesnt seem to full penetrate to fire the loaded round.
i have a concerning number of issues with my glock 19 gen 4. ive shot a good amount of 115 grain and some 124 grain. both have had (as i said) a concerning amount of ejection issues. mostly stove pipes. many ejected shells hit my face and the top of my head. the pattern is very inconsistent just want to let the community know.
A superb video and as always, and very informative! Unfortunately we're confined to strict guidelines with indoor ranges, very little latitude for this type of comparison, which makes the video even more invaluable.

Wow, That Spear Lawman ammo was definitely by far packing the most punch out of the 115 grain ammo you shot. I just bought a Glock 19 Gen 4 two days ago and learned about the "recall" the day after, haven't fired it yet but I am relieved to see I have the 0 4 Spring, But at least I know what FMJ ammo I'll be checking out for target shooting now, Glad I came across you're video's throughly entertained and now I know to avoid Federal for the Glock which I almost picked up the same day
well going to buy a pistol when taxes come back..... I used to have a 40 cal smith and wesson sigma series....it was garbage and 40 cal shells get a little spendy so I think im going with the glock 19 or 17....
Quick one year run Down, Glock 19 Gen 4, about 1000 rounds total,3 fail to feed with first 100 rounds original #03 recoil spring,No problems 900 rounds with #04 spring. Glock 26 Gen 3 CT, never any problems. Glock 23 Gen 3 CT,never any problems.S&W BG 380 Laser, never any problems.Bersa Beretta,Walter,S&W,all fine.Now new Ruger LC9 not so fine,bad laser sight,fail to fire, very light fire pin strikes,12 handguns and unfortunately the Ruger has dropped the ball.Sent the Laser in,send gun next
I watched more and more casings coming out of chamber trather than targets and aiming. It was interesting how different ammo was treated by gun mechanism. Some ammo had pretty consistent "throw out" and not just "fall out" occasionally.
@hickok45 I am very new to this so my question may sound naive, but it is based on some engineering basic knowledge (although not precision engineering of guns): isn't it that appart of recoil spring mechanism a round incoming to chamber may be pushing empty case a bit so with last round there was nothing to give casing that last little push? Or is it a shape of chamber that with weak recoil did not give enough push out?
And yes there is another factor: maturity and education. Some saw to many hollywood movies with violence and those noisy effects and get to think about gun as good tool to solve their problems. Thi is especially true between young uneducated people. Perhaps gun control (access) with age maes more sense than seeing shooting (at range) as always bad thing.
My take on this issue is that a lot of violence came with immigration to this country (especially with poorer people who saw their chance for the dream "differently". That's why in states havily populated with immigrants (due to job places) like New York or California there are very harsh gun control laws. In some other states you get to see people carrying "big guns" at their belts walking to McDonald and nothing happens... because they do not mean harm anyone.
You will never understand American culture if you judge by European standards. I am Polish living in the USA and starter shooting guns recently thanks to our American friends. The fact is that some watch too many movies with gun violence and associate shooting with it. That does not mean that Americans treat it this way. Gun here is a symbol of freedom - not a creep going to street and hurting people. It is also a hobby.
@maciekskontakt I am glad people like you immigrate here. You are a good example of an american. Shooting is a great sport a fun past time and something detail minded people can spend time obsessing over. Also firearms and fearless people made this country what it was and what hopefully it will be again. Please enjoy your freedom to enjoy shooting sports and never take for granted your RIGHT to defend yourself.

I would advise everyone not to get G19(Gen4) and dnt believe the hype either because I own one;I am very dissapointed and now im stuck with it.Some people are just followers and refuse to believe the truth about whats going on with the glock 19 (Gen4). if you looking for something to protect your family get a Beretta or Sig Sauer because you dnt want something that might work sometimes. Glocks are not cheap either because I got me a nice beretta Px4 storm (40sw) 4 the same price as the glock 19.

@ScopedPewPew Wow that's messed up man. :( I live in Denmark over in Scandinavia, and our firearms laws are super strict as well. We can however (given that the circumstances justify the means) argue self defense in fear for our lives if we happen to use a gun on an intruder (provided we have a license for the weapon and can prove the gun wasn't loaded before the intrusion). But the idea that simply defending yourself in your example, and going to jail for it seems absolutely bonkers. :S
The Lawman is loaded just like a Gold Dot. Since so many officers started using Gold Dots they made a practice round with the same load. Its good ammo for breaking in a gun.
If one addresses the shortcomings of any Brand one will create a fire storm. Many brand loyalists are either arrogant or ignorant. I own three Glocks, but never carry them chambered, most accidental discharges are Glocks. Some believe only a 45 will do? I owned a Colt 1911 45 30 years ago to heavy, single action to clumsy. Some believe a D/A revolver is bad? no safety? Many LE are looking at D/A S/A hammer Automatics to carry chambered safely.
I think I just made my decision thank you. Ive been going back and forth between the gen 3 19 and the gen 4 but I think I'm going with the 4. Awesome vid btw
i have 600-700 rounds thru my gen 4 glock 17... 2 failures (1) with Winchester white box and (1) with UMC. A friend had the failure with the Winchester and probably limp wristed, and i had one with the UMC which felt like a light round so i am not blaming the gun for either failure.
@shady75boy Same here... one with the White Box and one with UMC. Surprisingly, the Federal Champion has been wonderful, as is the Blazer ammo. Cheap and reliable.
Just hit 1270 rounds on my gen4 23 today...only failure was a round of 180gr fed champion with a partial seated primer...fired the second time through the gun (1st try seated it enough to work) today I also shot a box of fed. champion through an XD9 previously reliable and had 8-9 FTE but the rounds fell out of the chamber when cleared...the champion was short stroking it! The xd9 4" also has a dual spring

Quick one year run Down, Glock 19 Gen 4, about 1000 rounds total,3 fail to feed with first 100 rounds original #03 recoil spring,No problems 900 rounds with #04 spring. Glock 26 Gen 3 CT, never any problems. Glock 23 Gen 3 CT,never any problems.S&W BG 380 Laser, never any problems.Bersa Beretta,Walter,S&W,all fine.Now new Ruger LC9 not so fine,bad laser sight,fail to fire, very light fire pin strikes,12 handguns and unfortunately the Ruger has dropped the ball.Sent the Laser in,send gun next

I watched more and more casings coming out of chamber trather than targets and aiming. It was interesting how different ammo was treated by gun mechanism. Some ammo had pretty consistent "throw out" and not just "fall out" occasionally.

@hickok45 I am very new to this so my question may sound naive, but it is based on some engineering basic knowledge (although not precision engineering of guns): isn't it that appart of recoil spring mechanism a round incoming to chamber may be pushing empty case a bit so with last round there was nothing to give casing that last little push? Or is it a shape of chamber that with weak recoil did not give enough push out?

And yes there is another factor: maturity and education. Some saw to many hollywood movies with violence and those noisy effects and get to think about gun as good tool to solve their problems. Thi is especially true between young uneducated people. Perhaps gun control (access) with age maes more sense than seeing shooting (at range) as always bad thing.

My take on this issue is that a lot of violence came with immigration to this country (especially with poorer people who saw their chance for the dream "differently". That's why in states havily populated with immigrants (due to job places) like New York or California there are very harsh gun control laws. In some other states you get to see people carrying "big guns" at their belts walking to McDonald and nothing happens... because they do not mean harm anyone.

You will never understand American culture if you judge by European standards. I am Polish living in the USA and starter shooting guns recently thanks to our American friends. The fact is that some watch too many movies with gun violence and associate shooting with it. That does not mean that Americans treat it this way. Gun here is a symbol of freedom - not a creep going to street and hurting people. It is also a hobby.

I would advise everyone not to get G19(Gen4) and dnt believe the hype either because I own one;I am very dissapointed and now im stuck with it.Some people are just followers and refuse to believe the truth about whats going on with the glock 19 (Gen4). if you looking for something to protect your family get a Beretta or Sig Sauer because you dnt want something that might work sometimes. Glocks are not cheap either because I got me a nice beretta Px4 storm (40sw) 4 the same price as the glock 19.

@2ndamendrights I wish in Canada I could use my firearms to protect myself and family :( But our firearm laws here are stupid. If a criminal breaks into my house and comes at me with a knife, and I fight back to protect myself, and he is somehow stabbed, off to jail I go! :(

@ScopedPewPew Wow that's messed up man. :( I live in Denmark over in Scandinavia, and our firearms laws are super strict as well. We can however (given that the circumstances justify the means) argue self defense in fear for our lives if we happen to use a gun on an intruder (provided we have a license for the weapon and can prove the gun wasn't loaded before the intrusion). But the idea that simply defending yourself in your example, and going to jail for it seems absolutely bonkers. :S

The Lawman is loaded just like a Gold Dot. Since so many officers started using Gold Dots they made a practice round with the same load. Its good ammo for breaking in a gun.

If one addresses the shortcomings of any Brand one will create a fire storm. Many brand loyalists are either arrogant or ignorant. I own three Glocks, but never carry them chambered, most accidental discharges are Glocks. Some believe only a 45 will do? I owned a Colt 1911 45 30 years ago to heavy, single action to clumsy. Some believe a D/A revolver is bad? no safety? Many LE are looking at D/A S/A hammer Automatics to carry chambered safely.

i have 600-700 rounds thru my gen 4 glock 17... 2 failures (1) with Winchester white box and (1) with UMC. A friend had the failure with the Winchester and probably limp wristed, and i had one with the UMC which felt like a light round so i am not blaming the gun for either failure.

@shady75boy Same here... one with the White Box and one with UMC. Surprisingly, the Federal Champion has been wonderful, as is the Blazer ammo. Cheap and reliable.

Just hit 1270 rounds on my gen4 23 today...only failure was a round of 180gr fed champion with a partial seated primer...fired the second time through the gun (1st try seated it enough to work) today I also shot a box of fed. champion through an XD9 previously reliable and had 8-9 FTE but the rounds fell out of the chamber when cleared...the champion was short stroking it! The xd9 4" also has a dual spring
