  • Weird. I'm there right now.

And another weird conincidence is that I randomly came across that Blasphemy Challenge video and a few weeks ago I was FREAKING OUT about that verse. Like, I literally didn't sleep for days. I was so distressed that I just got wasted and smoked a lot of weed.

Anyways, I'm glad you went to Italy. The Vatican was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. [Though I didn't go to the top of the Coupola.]

  • aaahh

here is the final piece of the puzzle that says it all...

by the way, the picture of the puzzle is a Big Red Flag!

I don't want to be harsh, so it's best I just go now.. I don't want to be hated either...

You have it all wrong Matt!

    All wrong buddy!

  • wow the vatican looks pretty o.o

i heard that there are walls there with portraits of the past popes and it all in gold. did u happen to see it?

  • that looked like an awesome vacation. It makes me want to go there

  • Rome Rules Full stop.

  • I am glad you had a good exp. of the Vatican. I wish you would open your heart to the Lord's gospel and make the leap. You would make a wonderful Catholic priest. But, as for now, you are leading souls to perdition. God Bless your walk.

  • I am a Catholic priest, just not Roman Catholic. Perhaps one day, our buzzing ecumenists will succeed!

  • Hi,Father Matthew I am still awaiting your reply?

  • Quote

"I am a Catholic priest, just not Roman Catholic. Perhaps one day, our buzzing ecumenists will succeed"!

I hope not Father Matthew,Catholic yes or maybe but Roman Catholic no, freedom of expression is a gift from God and so is the freedom and simplicity of the gospel message for every creature under heaven.

  • @FatherMatthew I actually noticed while watching your videos that there's alot of similarities between episcopalianism and roman catholicism. The gothic looking churches (at least my church), the art, the sacraments, a priest hood, bishops, churches named after saints ect ect.

I actually have a question about episcopalianism though.

Do you ask saints to pray for you like catholics do, and do you honor mary like catholics do?

    Thanks! ;)

  • @HyperNessie some Episcopalians ask saints to pray for them, and many Episcopal and Roman saints are similar, also we honor Mary in similar ways, just not as frequently.

  • Father Matthew is not leading any souls to perdition, it is when the soul sinneth that it will surely die King James Bible Ezekiel 18:20

The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

  • Fr. Matthew is leading souls to perdition by advancing the Episcopal Church which teaches the grave/mortal sin is good. Homosexual expression is immorality and Fr. Matthew will bless it as a gift from God. This is false teaching from the Evil one.

  • In otherwords jacero10 it is we as individuals who have to give account to God for our own actions or inactions on the day of judgement and we cannot go a blaming someone else who like us are accountable for their own actions,if we could, we would be pardoned for our ignorance and the person responsible (with knowledge)would have to pay the penalty for deceiving us and causing us to sin.

  • Although traditional on certain issues, Father Matthew is sincern, warm, engaging and caring. His role and calling is to convey the gospel in a way that will challenge and get people to think and open their minds in order to question and reason, not to take away their free will and instil fear, but to convey God's love, mercy and concern for each and every person regardless who, what or where we are.

  • Jacero10, not all Episcopalians agree on the subject of homosexuality. To make the statement that the Episcopal Church as a whole celebrates homosexuality is far from the truth. The issue has caused a LOT of controversy within the church. One diocese even voted to leave the denomination based upon this. So it is impossible to say that ALL Episcopal priests "celebrate" homosexuality. Let me remind you however of Christ's words. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

  • Father Matthew great video,"of course he is your Pope" you believe in the Trinity and the virgin birth don't you, this then is the basis of the Catholic faith and the unity of world wide believers.

  • congrats...but no visit to assisi? aw

  • St. Peters basilica is awesome indeed. One of the most profound experiences of my trip to Italy was walking amongst its great halls. Its totally stunning. The Pieta alone is worth the trip.

  • I miss Italy.

  • you got a haircut father!

  • She could have killed you and been out on good behaviour by now. Just something for you to reflect on...

    *<;o)

  • Cool vid. Congrats on five years!

  • Another interesting video.

Does the book you have on Popes cover the period when there was a Pope and "Pretender" Pope in Rome and Turkey?

    Warmly,

    Paulie

  • Hey, Paulie. I just read your comment. Actually there were many 'anti-popes' throughout the history. That may be the reason why Church went astray. The real pope must be elected by an archbishop sinode, that is: influenced by Holy Spirit.

  • Thank you mate.

    Paulie

  • You make it sound as if I did something :-)

Anyway, Jesus bless, brother(?) in Christ.

  • I'm one of the atheist brothers in humanity :)

  • Congratulations on your Anniversary and on a lovely vacation which I am sure is well deserved. Re your pospsicle stand: it's a humble, beautiful place fuller of grace and truth than Rome could ever be. And I think that KJS would make a much better Pope : D. I know how difficult and sometimes lonely it must be to part of a small congregation. But being in the right place is better than being surrounded by masses of people. God Bless!

    ddr

  • When I said "popsicle stand", I actually meant the United States. But your comments stand true.

  • That looked like a nice trip. I remember being in Rome and finding one of the few Anglican churches so I could go to my church instead of a Catholic one. I only found the Anglican one because it was near all the fabulous luxury stores on the Via Condotti, where I spent a lot of time and most of my money(!) At my papal audience, i saw an ailing John Paul II and even though I'm not a big fan of the Roman church, saying the Lord's Prayer is something we could all do together.

  • Congratulations on the anniversary and on the trip. I amlooking forward to hearing more about it. Did you play poker in Italy? Jeapardy in Italian?

  • thanks for taking us on vacation with you through your pictures. Your reflection in your e-mail of Italian churches was also very insightful!!!

  • I always wanted to go to Italy-- Thanks for the sneak preview

  • More congrats on 5 years. Great video.

  • Congratulations, fr.

  • Matthew - Looks like a great trip to a wonderful country!

  • Great pictures. Congrats on 5 happy years.
