Thanks, we found out another benefit of the green house. It makes a great place to put all that summer lawn furniture, mower and miscellaneous tools during the winter months.
Yeah, thanks, I got it for a couple of bucks because it had no glass. Seems cutting a oval that large is thought to be complicated, but not for my wife, who cuts glass for stained glass work. It was nice because the door isn't wood and should never rot.
Thank you, Its actually looking nicer now, because the newer wood is starting to fade. and we have it full of tomato plants, and flower boxes. I wanted a cute cottage look. Thanks for the nice comment.
-30f now thats cold...well as long as your happy thats what counts!:)...we avg about 0-30f days and maybe 10F-20F nights with a colder one thrown in here n there..im going to see if a rocket stove thermal mass heater to burn free scrap wood coupled with the 300 gallon fish tank i just finished will hold it in the 50-60 range nights or cloudy days...again really luv ur greenhouse.
very cool, mine is made of scrounge stuff also.except yours is much more pro looking,im a crappy carpenter.only thing i would do different id use hydro or aquaponics and maximize your yield , far more than raised beds.great job.peace
@BottleFarmer Thanks, Hydroponics don't work so well in N. Dakota, We've added lots of additional 5 gallon buckets hanging from the ceiling, lined the floors with tubs filled too. We still had tomatoes in November even without heating or insulation. But it comes to a point that no green alternative will work when its -30 F in North Dakota with out supplemental heat, but 2+ extra months growing really helps, without a freeze hazard. . Still I enjoyed your video too. Thanks
