I don't see why everyone's complaining. They just ran a XC race, not track XC! Long distance. They're obviously tired, you expect them to go all Shaolin on each other? lol By the way, nice panda beanie!
There's no issue with this video in itself and I would agree it is an accurate representation of a large percentage of XC teams. However, the title was clearly created to get more views and that's disrespectful to both the integrity of the sport and viewers when you mislead people to think they're going to see something they're not.
was the description supposed to be some message telling me that i like violence too much and i should get my life together and starte running cross country? well i have a message for you which is that you are a bunch of faggots! WORST OF YOUTUBE!
People please don't take this seriously. These cross country runners in no way, shape, or form represent the rest of the sport. We do not behave like fools. This is clearly a misrepresentation of XC.
@chilipepper2015 I disagree. You need to have fun during any high school sport or it's boring as all heck. As an extra-curricular you're either running cross country to stay in shape, have fun, or are so serious about it you're considering being a professional runner out of high school. For whatever reason, you still NEED to have fun. The above video is our high school team having fun after a successful meet. Even professional football players (i have a friend who cooks for them) screw around
@Aingu5 False. Cross Country is about hard work and discipline. Maybe you guys aren't the best runners on your team or something, but usually the best runners are the ones who are more focused and concentrated on reaching our certain time goals. Not fooling around like immature babies. That isn't what's fun about cross country. What's fun is how great you feel after the race, hitting a new time goal, whatever. Not acting like idiots and pushing each other around. Don't know how that's fun
@SlighterFacility lol, my CC team is amazing we win Division Legaue all the time at go to state championships every year, they say the best part is messing around with thier buddies after a long race, Why you ask? "cuz running is boring as fuck" - Lead CC runner
@Aingu5 I agree with you about the having fun part of a xc meet because I also run cross country in Missouri and we have a ton of fun before and after a meet because if your not having fun then whats the point and this isn't a bad representation of the sport because if it is then the whole entire area and most of the state teams I run against are huge misrepresentations of the sport because we all have fun with it
TO SETTLE ALL ARGUMENTS OVER WHETHER OR NOT CROSS COUNTRY IS AN OLYMPIC SPORT: No, it is not. However, there is are the IAAF World Cross Country Championships, which is comparable to the World Cup in soccer: not the Olympics, but still very big.
the people who clicked on this video came to see a fight. you didn't provide said fight. it's no wonder you aren't getting the support you expected. you're such an idiot.
@Jima2 Hey why the fuck do you care wether its a sport or not? Do you think its easy to run 8 miles in a certain amount if time? You think thats easy you disrespectful piece of shit? So i suggest you get the fuck off the comments and stop your bitching to wether cross country isnt a sport or not...geez
@Jima2 DON'T YOU GET IT? Cross Country is the High School/Collegiate COMPETITIVE form of long distance running!!!!!!!!! God you need to start listening! Do you think a 5k is any different in Cross counry than it is in the Olympics? NOOO!! The only difference is the people running it! 5k's ARE in the olympics you know! It's like the difference between College football and the NFL!! Still football, different style. Jima... what's the difference between running a 5k in High School and the Olympics?
@Aingu5 I get it, your and idiot. One is executed on the track, or in the case of a marathon road and track, the other is performed by homosexuals at school running across uneven terrain. Wow, you are the biggest idiot ive ever come across. You make retards look smart.
@Jima2 I don't even run cross country, and that was seriously the worst attempt at arguing or even at saying words that I've ever seen heard. Stop embarrassing yourself.
@Jima2 You're just proving how intelligent xc runners are compared to thugs. You're really just making a fool out of yourself you should probably go away.
@Jima2 Famous runners? Alright, just to list some of the famous American ones....There's Ryan Hall who runs the marathon, Galen Rupp who specializes in the 10K, and Chris Solinsky who prefers the 5K but is actually a really strong 10K runner as well. There's Jennifer Barringer who has the American record in the steeple chase. There's Bernard Lagat and Lopez Lomong that run for the USA but are originally from Kenya. There's Kara Goucher and Shalane Flanigan, premier women's distance runners.
@Jima2 You obviously don't know what Running is. Running is a work of art (quoted from Prefontaine) that comes in all kinds, sprinting short distance, medium distance, long long distance, long long long long distance, and thats pretty much it. Cross Country is the High School version of long distance running, which only does 5k's, or 5000 meters. Every famous runner probably started in cross country in high school. Now they do 5k's in the olympics. Now stop being ignorant
@Aingu5 Running is a work of art??????????? Fuck your gay, and you said cross country was an olympic sport. If your not sure cockhead, google it. Fucking gay.
@Jima2 They all run long distance track now since I don't think cross country is a professional thing in the US. Once cross country runners become elite and finish their college career, they all run long distance track events. Galen Rupp, for instance, was a National champion in cross country during college, but now that he is a professional, he runs track. He is still a cross country runner though. Track runners are runners that have never run cross country and are content with sprinting.
@cicirunner Cross country isnt a professional sport anywhere in the world. I wanted to know just one famous cross country runner and you couldnt give me that, because there isnt any. You guys are seriously stupid to think anyone gives a shit about cross country. There is no future in it. It has to be the most rediculous thing (bar powerwalking) that ive ever seen. Fuck me, even powerwalking is an olympic sport.
@Jima2 Just stop. You obviously have too big an ego to talk to through typing, and all you ever say are false remarks with derogatory slanders towards gay people. Google famous long distance runners while your at it, and perhaps Google olympic records.
@Aingu5 There is no cross country at the olympics. Fucking hell your a retard. Your banging on about distance running now that you have realised cross country isnt a recognised sport out of high school. How gay.
@TheRealCP13 I think a sport is anything that is both physical and strategical. Also a sport should be something that requires practice, and that largely applies to running. You can bash running all you want. I just feel bad for people that play the "popular" sports, b/c once school is over, there are no more competitions for them. I can find local races to run every weekend, WOO HOO!!!!
Actually I have, I ran CC in middle school. And now that Im in high school, I play soccer, which takes a lot of endurance as well. Except there's an aspect of skill involved in soccer unlike CC. Also, where is the skill in running? Everyone can run. There's a little piece of shit at my school that tried out for 4 sports and the only team he made was the cross country team. Another thing, our CC team wins state just about every year, so its not like a shitty team.
@KickingItFreestyle I think there are skills involved in running. First off, if it's track, you have to be good at handing off and receive the baton. In cross country, I think that adjusting to the course conditions is a skill. If there is mud or water, you have to know how to efficiently run through it while exerting only little effort and not slowing down too much. If there is a hill or downhill, knowing how to run it best. Also, I think being able to handle the pressure of a race is skill.
ok... i just wanna say for all the people who say xc isnt a real sport. it really is. we work our asses off doing crazy mileage and we have meets frequently. those are SUPER stressful because they're individual, unlike a game in any other sport, you're all by yourself and you dont have teammates around to support you. im not trying to diss other sports, im just saying that a lot of people look at the sports outside theirown and say "oh we work so much harder". cross country is a real, fun sport.
@bepgagachik19 I think CC is both an individual and team sport. The distribution between the two all depends on your attitude. Some people may treat it as 100% individual and not interact with their teammates. Other people who encourage their teammates, train with them, an work together in races treat it more as a sport.
@cicirunner i definitely agree with you about that. i have made SO many friends on xc and we have the best time ever. it is most definitely a team sport when you train and when encourage them while they run. however what im saying is that a meet is just a little more nervewracking then a game in another sport because YOU individually have to work your hardest and its just kinda scary... like your friend cant run for you. does that make sense? but xc is absolutely a team sport i agree with you!
@KickingItFreestyle I agree it takes dedication. But can you define skill for me? I think you may have the wrong idea on what a skill is. If I'm good at throwing a ball, you could say i'm skilled. If I can solve a rubik's cube in 30 seconds I have skill correct? If I can run over three miles in under 16 minutes I have skill.... riiight? I'd like to see you go up to an Olympic long distance runner and in his face tell him "You have no skill." Think about it
@Aingu5 skill = technique, theres not a lot of technique in running (there is but it's usually just natural). Runners have more endurance and FITNESS than skill. Now if you're a smart runner and know how to run a race with a plan, that might take some skill. But you didn't have to learn how to run or anything fundamental when you started running competitively, did you? It's all about building the fitness, endurance, and just being a beast. Sorry I'm bored.
1. The ability, coming from one's knowledge, practice, aptitude, etc., to do something well: Carpentry was one of his many skills. (Running was one of his many skills.) <---Fits doesn't it?
2. Competent excellence in performance; expertness; dexterity: The dancers performed with skill.
3. A craft, trade, or job requiring manual dexterity or special training in which a person has competence and experience: the skill of cabinetmaking.
@Aingu5 it's not exactly skill, it's more that you trained your body to be able to run for a long time... but running does take breathing techniques and energy consumption techniques that DO require practice. So it just depends on how u look at it.
What's funny is that your LAME-O'S are in high-school and have to make fake videos of fights because nobody is real enough to actually fight! BUT AT MY MIDDLE SCHOOL THERE ARE FIGHTS WITH REAL BLOOD INCASE YOUR FAGS HAVE NEVER SEEN THAT BEFORE!!!! WE HAVE 7TH GRADERS BREAKING EACHOTHERS FREAKING NOSES!
@killerchris15 I'm pretty sure a 12 year old isn't more "functional" than me. oh really what sport do you play? hockey? is that why you care about fighting so much? fairy faggots? you basically just proved how you need to grow up kid.
@Jima2 Before you say another ridiculously middle-school childish remark, please get over yourself and try running a race for yourself. I'm sure you'll change your mind and hopefully realize that running is world renowned RESPECTED SPORT that many few can do professionally. Grow up
@Aingu5 Respected sport my ass. If its so respected why tag it wrong to get views. Fucking gay fag. I dont know one famous cross country runner faggot. By the way queer eye, if your going to try to insult me you might want to make sure what you write makes sense. "hopefully realize that running is world renowned RESPECTED SPORT that many few can do professionally. Grow up". Is it the dick in your mouth or are you just illiterate?
@Jima2 Dude! Calm down! And PLEASE, stop embarrassing yourself! You sound like a preppy hot-shot who's full of himself. And sorry I forgot the "a" in between "running" and "world". I forgot that I always have perfect grammar. I can't believe your arrogance dude.... never heard of famous distance runners? Ever hear of the OLYMPICS? Haha you make me laugh
@Jima2 Jima dude! Running is an INDIVIDUAL sport, whether it be in the form of Cross Country, doing mile's in track, two miles, 10 k's, 5 k's, it's all running, and it's all in the olympics! High school Cross Country is only 5k's. The college level is even harder, with races over 5k, and the professional level encompasses all the above. Before you start insulting somebody else get your facts straight my god, you don't know anything about running so how about you just stop commenting
@Jima2 If you don't know one famous runner, it's because you are not a runner. There are actually people that know nothing about football or basketball as well. Running is actually pretty big, but I would say it's more popular in other countries where people aren't so lazy.
@cicirunner Why would i want to be a runner when i play real sports, footy and ice hockey? I see that not one person has given us a "famous" runners name. What lazy countrys are you refering to, because i live in the sporting capital of the world and no one gives a shit about cross country here. Your all gayer than aids
@ImViiral Would you call banking a sport? Investing is stocks a sport? Your a retard. Btw i never said it wasnt a sport i said it is in no way respected. Really who cares about a bundle of sticks running over uneven terrain.
@TheRealCP13 Let me give you an analogy you can understand. Physics is the foundation, basics, or whatever you want to call it for all science. Biology, Chemistry, and almost all other major branches of science are founded on physics. Biologists aren't always concerned with researching particle physics, but they're definitely concerned with molar masses. Are physicists not scientists because they only study that one basic branch of science (which also happens to be the hardest)? Hellz to the no!
@TheRealCP13 If cross country isn't a sport, then a banana isn't a fruit. Just to give you some science, bananas are actually genetically altered plantains which have been genetically engineered to give a better, sweeter taste.
Applepiejacks you legend. Omg having fun winning???????? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Prob never played team sports, i play footy and we run 12-16k's every saturday with hard tackles hard hits and most of that is done at top speed. I truly believe cross country runners are fags. Not homosexual, just fags. Oh, if its so fun, why call it tedious?
@Jima2 I could say I ran 20k last Sunday and it wouldn't mean jack. It's the intensity of the running, not how far you go. You couldnt last two miles race pace during a cross country meet. Try sprinting a four hundred meter and then doing that 12.5 more times. You claim hard hits done at "top speed" makes you better than me? You claim cross country isnt a team sport? Not only is xc a team sport (you obviously dont know what your talking about), but also your bigotry shows your immaturity.
@Jima2 The fact that your asking me why cross country is fun and tedious at the same time shows me you haven't realized WHY there's not a lot of people doing cross country... because it's one of the most difficult tasks a human can push itself forth to do... It's fun because we CAN. We can do what a vast majority of the world can't. Nobody likes the tedious work outs and training, but once you pass a kid on that last 400 stretch to win conference then you'll know why it's REALLY fun.
Cross Country would be the most difficult anyone on this video would do. No one wants to run 10miles at practice, but we do and with a smile on our face. Because we are fuckin crazy
You guys need to grow up. I run Cross Country and my team won the State Championship this year. We also won the State Championship in Track and Field. We don't do that shit because it would look bad on our team.
@OfficialLFlow WOWWWWWWWWW number one this video is fucking gay.... and number two shut the fuck up that is the stupidest thing i have ever heard... who are you trying to impress? like honestly get a life "it would make our team look bad".... big deal you won a state championship.
@OfficialLFlow Way to be so serious about everything, they are just having fun, notice how it says "after race", this does not mean they play around during the race or anything, why are you getting mad over this anyway...
@OfficialLFlow Lighten up man, We're having fun right there, after this "fight" we got 2 other teams to sing Don't stop believing by journey with us....you take this way too seriously.
@applepiejacks First of all it's Cross Country. Second of all, your derogatory word "faggots" just goes to show how you definitely have an immaturity problem.
And to correct you, most cross country runners are not "faggots". We just do something that more than 80% of you haters could never do.
@Aingu5 I believe it would be a "maturity problem". Stating that he has an immaturity problem only does a double negative making it sound like he's a mature individual. Seems like you have an issue grasping the English language. Just sayin' breh.
@jdspringr Are you sure about that assertion? If one is suffering with immaturity, is it not logical to infer that he has a problem with being immature? "Immature" is defining the kind of problem he has. I could say I have a "bad problem", using bad as a negative modifier. It's still proper English. Look up nominal adjectives
@3097thunder i actually agree wwith ya on that one i know a few cool sprinters, the track kids talk shit and then all hang out together cause they think they couldnt get their ass kicked with all their buddies to keep them safe. i dont care they are, talk shit get hit.
guys this i get that there friends and want too have a good time but mostly wen we look up fights we want too see actual violenc not some corny messin arount this is like watching a wrestling match? and by the way u reely cant be a youtube noob?

@cicirunner i definitely agree with you about that. i have made SO many friends on xc and we have the best time ever. it is most definitely a team sport when you train and when encourage them while they run. however what im saying is that a meet is just a little more nervewracking then a game in another sport because YOU individually have to work your hardest and its just kinda scary... like your friend cant run for you. does that make sense? but xc is absolutely a team sport i agree with you!
bepgagachik19 4 months ago
Cross country is a sport that anyone can do. It doesn't require any skill whatsoever. All it takes is dedication.
KickingItFreestyle 4 months ago
@KickingItFreestyle I agree it takes dedication. But can you define skill for me? I think you may have the wrong idea on what a skill is. If I'm good at throwing a ball, you could say i'm skilled. If I can solve a rubik's cube in 30 seconds I have skill correct? If I can run over three miles in under 16 minutes I have skill.... riiight? I'd like to see you go up to an Olympic long distance runner and in his face tell him "You have no skill." Think about it
Aingu5 4 months ago 12
@Aingu5 skill = technique, theres not a lot of technique in running (there is but it's usually just natural). Runners have more endurance and FITNESS than skill. Now if you're a smart runner and know how to run a race with a plan, that might take some skill. But you didn't have to learn how to run or anything fundamental when you started running competitively, did you? It's all about building the fitness, endurance, and just being a beast. Sorry I'm bored.
kaimana815 4 months ago
@kaimana815 Skill = technique? False
Define ~Skill~
Aingu5 4 months ago

@Jima2 Before you say another ridiculously middle-school childish remark, please get over yourself and try running a race for yourself. I'm sure you'll change your mind and hopefully realize that running is world renowned RESPECTED SPORT that many few can do professionally. Grow up
Aingu5 4 months ago
@Aingu5 Respected sport my ass. If its so respected why tag it wrong to get views. Fucking gay fag. I dont know one famous cross country runner faggot. By the way queer eye, if your going to try to insult me you might want to make sure what you write makes sense. "hopefully realize that running is world renowned RESPECTED SPORT that many few can do professionally. Grow up". Is it the dick in your mouth or are you just illiterate?
Jima2 4 months ago
@Jima2 That wasn't even a response. Stop it.

Aingu5 4 months ago
@Aingu5 Yeah ive heard of the olympics and speaking of embarassing yourself.....cross country isnt an olympic sport. Gay and retarded.
Jima2 4 months ago
@Jima2 Jima dude! Running is an INDIVIDUAL sport, whether it be in the form of Cross Country, doing mile's in track, two miles, 10 k's, 5 k's, it's all running, and it's all in the olympics! High school Cross Country is only 5k's. The college level is even harder, with races over 5k, and the professional level encompasses all the above. Before you start insulting somebody else get your facts straight my god, you don't know anything about running so how about you just stop commenting
Aingu5 4 months ago
@Aingu5 Well I just made a video that says differently. I think it's a huge team sport. If you disagree, watch my video and critique it.
cicirunner 4 months ago
@Jima2 If you don't know one famous runner, it's because you are not a runner. There are actually people that know nothing about football or basketball as well. Running is actually pretty big, but I would say it's more popular in other countries where people aren't so lazy.
cicirunner 4 months ago
@cicirunner Why would i want to be a runner when i play real sports, footy and ice hockey? I see that not one person has given us a "famous" runners name. What lazy countrys are you refering to, because i live in the sporting capital of the world and no one gives a shit about cross country here. Your all gayer than aids
Jima2 4 months ago
@Jima2 We do 30 - 40 miles a week dude. A "sport" is something that pushes you to your limits. Thats just what XC does.
ImViiral 4 months ago
@ImViiral Would you call banking a sport? Investing is stocks a sport? Your a retard. Btw i never said it wasnt a sport i said it is in no way respected. Really who cares about a bundle of sticks running over uneven terrain.

@Jima2 typical. your probably all football and baseball. the "popular" sports, but not the true sports

Aingu5 4 months ago
all i have to say is that crazy people run cross crounty, i am one of them
coolchacho101 4 months ago
@TheRealCP13 Even if you don't consider it a sport, it is a tougher activity than most sports.
Yes, it's the foundation for your conditioning. Of course it's basic, that's why it's so fundamental.
aattitude 5 months ago
@TheRealCP13 Cross Country is grueling.
They deserve respect for what they do. Plus running is the foundation for fitness of most sports anyways.
You don't run, you're not a good athlete.

@TheRealCP13 If cross country isn't a sport, then a banana isn't a fruit. Just to give you some science, bananas are actually genetically altered plantains which have been genetically engineered to give a better, sweeter taste.

amazinAmazinAMAZIN17 5 months ago
Applepiejacks you legend. Omg having fun winning???????? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Prob never played team sports, i play footy and we run 12-16k's every saturday with hard tackles hard hits and most of that is done at top speed. I truly believe cross country runners are fags. Not homosexual, just fags. Oh, if its so fun, why call it tedious?
Jima2 5 months ago
@Jima2 I could say I ran 20k last Sunday and it wouldn't mean jack. It's the intensity of the running, not how far you go. You couldnt last two miles race pace during a cross country meet. Try sprinting a four hundred meter and then doing that 12.5 more times. You claim hard hits done at "top speed" makes you better than me? You claim cross country isnt a team sport? Not only is xc a team sport (you obviously dont know what your talking about), but also your bigotry shows your immaturity.
Aingu5 5 months ago
@Aingu5 Fag.
Jima2 4 months ago
@Jima2 The fact that your asking me why cross country is fun and tedious at the same time shows me you haven't realized WHY there's not a lot of people doing cross country... because it's one of the most difficult tasks a human can push itself forth to do... It's fun because we CAN. We can do what a vast majority of the world can't. Nobody likes the tedious work outs and training, but once you pass a kid on that last 400 stretch to win conference then you'll know why it's REALLY fun.

1manwlfpack 6 months ago
@OfficialLFlow Way to be so serious about everything, they are just having fun, notice how it says "after race", this does not mean they play around during the race or anything, why are you getting mad over this anyway...

this is an example of why most track kids are faggots.
applepiejacks 10 months ago 5
@applepiejacks First of all it's Cross Country. Second of all, your derogatory word "faggots" just goes to show how you definitely have an immaturity problem.
And to correct you, most cross country runners are not "faggots". We just do something that more than 80% of you haters could never do.
Aingu5 10 months ago 22
@Aingu5 really? any faggot can run
Wesker952 5 months ago
@Wesker952 run a 5k under 21 min, and then we'll talk.
nerdypreppyemo 5 months ago
@Wesker952 it aint that hard bro
Wesker952 5 months ago
@Aingu5 I believe it would be a "maturity problem". Stating that he has an immaturity problem only does a double negative making it sound like he's a mature individual. Seems like you have an issue grasping the English language. Just sayin' breh.
jdspringr 4 months ago
@jdspringr Are you sure about that assertion? If one is suffering with immaturity, is it not logical to infer that he has a problem with being immature? "Immature" is defining the kind of problem he has. I could say I have a "bad problem", using bad as a negative modifier. It's still proper English. Look up nominal adjectives

@applepiejacks nah only cross country kids r faggets. leave the sprinters out of the equation.

@3097thunder i actually agree wwith ya on that one i know a few cool sprinters, the track kids talk shit and then all hang out together cause they think they couldnt get their ass kicked with all their buddies to keep them safe. i dont care they are, talk shit get hit.
