I'm no defender when it comes to the Chinese and their human rights violations - but you've got to know better than go to a foreign country and protest without a permit and asking for independent - don't these people have better things to do - this isn't even the Human Right issue - it's a separation of a country - these people are idiots - besides, Americans have no right to preach at other countries, considering what's happening on their own turf, in regards to human rights violations, etc.

Dalai lama is a bodhisattva and he is even being kind to china and willing to stay within china...and he only demands basic human rights just to preserve their own country... the southern part of mongolia is also occupied by the communist and west north of shingjang as well. If the Communist china remain in their own land, no one will ever say a word......
Why Chinese are called to discuss their recent history and their Government's so called crimes when the Western countries can't even face Georgia's,Iraq's,or Rwanda's criminal involvement?What's the result if u protest against your Government during the Olympics that you host-let's get it straight! If people protest against cruel treatment of prisoners of Guantanamo during the future Olympics in NY-would that matter?Is it better to challenge openly or to go a harder path of pushing for a change?

there is a big difference. if you apply for permit, without notice you will be detained whether u r a chinese or not. recently,two elderly Chinese women in their late seventies, Wang Xiuying and Wu Dianyuan, were told they could spend one year in a labour camp for daring to apply for permits to protest in the Olympic 'protest zones' about their eviction from their homes.
You need to apply a permit before you protest or demonstrate in any country. Why it is different in China? You only listen and believe the biased news and distorted information to satisfy your political purposes. Your news and information is completed fabricated and baseless. This is nothing new. It has been common practice that some media just so enjoy of making China look bad. They will do anything to achieve their political objectives. But people are not fooled easily.
if you apply for permit to protest, instead of getting a permit you will be arrested. thats why there is no one protesting in that designated area..........its empty 24/7.... by the way, we are not against the chinese people we are definitely against the COMMUNIST regime repression ordinary people....
by the way, the chinese government has invited the world for the olympic game thats way the people from the world has come to china....and this is not acceptable that china not only invaded tibet, they suppress basic human rights..
China invited the world for the olympic games not for you to make trouble and illigal so called free tibet activities. Who says not acceptable? Why should Chinese government has to listens to you? Tibet issue is not human rights issue. You are not protecting Human Rights. You are there using Human Rights as a cover up to mislead the world that China is a bad guy. if the chinese people will say us to go out from china, than its the same case in Tibet, the Han chinese should get out of Tibet. Tibet belongs to Tibetan as China belongs to Chinese ...Tibet was an independent country before 59. they have their own currency not written in Chinese but in tibetan. they have their own language and culture unique to china..their own clothes..ect..
we are definitely concern about Human Rights. We don't care which country.... and all those protesters are not politicians. they are just ordinary people with conscience, who understand human value and speaking for those who don't have voice..... the world has become very small and no one can be isolated with each other. everyone has to live with each other. every one is dependent with each other.
