this is a really cool idea, not too much unlike what jack dejohnette used to do when he played a drum kit that had suspended over it bells arranged in different notes. during certain passages, he would play these bells to compliment the melody.

Hello, well, in this setup I use 4 hihats, all SABIAN. 2 on my left and 2 on my right.

14" AAX fast hat and 12" AA (left) & 13" Tony Verderosa Sign. Hat and 14/12" trash hat (right).

The main reason is that I like different sounds, and use ithe main one or other in different parts.
