my soundwaves leg's aren't heavy enough to affect the holding at the waist

ok a little bit, but it doesn't fall as fast as yours, i was holding my soundwave up for 10 minutes

it has a different issue, the ball joints have excess plastic that cause the joint to ratchet at straight down, and then a little back. he can't stand up perfectly straight up because of it

Actually, the soundwave figure has the best robot mode yet. I really love this figure especially when you pose him with universe ravage. he is really one of my favorite figures he bumped classics hot rod down to number two as my favorites. i am considering getting another one just to have in the package. what do the rest of you transformers fans think.......

The mode looks nearly identical to the game art. I find it hard to imagine it being a complete coincidence. Considering the game features both modes, I kind of feel that the two was supposed to be able to do both modes as well.

The game featured the vehicle mode for the most part, but the boom box popped in once. The figure's version of the boom box looks nearly identical to the game art. I personally don't feel like this is a coincidence, but more of a homage. If you look at the actual game art, the speakers do look exactly like the wheels, as the toy does.

In other words, i don't think it's a made up form but intentional.

@joralros well it's not included in the official instructions is what i mean. Fans of the game took what they saw in the game and made it in the toy itself. But since no official instructions for it came from Hasbro, that's what i mean it was made up.

the one thing I don't like about the WFC figures for Generations is the fact that we get 2 scouts, 2 leaders, and 1 soldier. I wish they would at least make Starscream/Thundercracker/Skyw­arp, if not all the characters. It's just annoying that some epic characters (Shockwave, Brawl, Demolishor, Breakdown) don't get figures!

Excellent review, i'm definitely getting him! Minor nitpicks... The little heel bits fold up, so his feet have a flatter stance, but that's a minor, MINOR thing :-P and the wheels on his back aren't transformed "officially", but that's as much a matter of personal taste as anything lol good show!

I agree he is a great figure. Only thing I do differently with the transformation is I fold up the wheels so they lay flay on his back. Makes him look more accurate to the game.

I really dig all of WFC's toys so far. I'd say Soundwave is a tad less impressive compared to the other three, but I enjoy all of them quite a bit. I do really hope for more WFC characters, notably Jazz, Sideswipe and Starscream.
