I wish I was good enough to justify getting a set of fore Poi, But I just started spinning sock poi about a week ago, So I've got a long way to go.

Though I have been doing things like fire hacking and such for years, So the concept of fire isn't a new one to me.

@Bhitch92 you can try anytime!! Even if you hit yourself with flaming poi you typically won't get a visible burn. I lit up on the first day I learned and never regretted it.

@bistra031 see the thing is...it quite possibly could be because as long as you are really good before you light em up then you can do those tricks just the same as without fire. And i also give him credit because I cannot stand people who light the fire before its time. Ive seen so many vids of people not feeling comfortable and having the poi as far away from themselves as possible.

im a new fire spinner, ive spun sock poi for 4 years off and on. im completely comfortable with the poi being close to me but fire is a whole new experience. he probably didnt know what to expect... i know i didnt and i think he did pretty good for his first time

the first time i ever spun fire was the first time i ever touched poi haha did pretty good actually hit my self in the face several times with flaming fire balls but i didnt get hurt good luck to every one im just getting back in it been out for quite some time hope you all have fun

@oldladyraper i've hit myslef in the eye with fire poi and not only did i not get burnt, i finished my set and the only thing that came of it was a few burnt eyelashes.

the only burns ive ever gotten were from doing wraps on bare skin and having the chains burn me.

@0tweak Yeah uhh, there's no way you were spinning fire on your first time and if you hit yourself in the face with a ball on fire I'm pretty sure you'd be devastatingly burned and would probably stop because you'd be in extreme pain
