I'm not quite sure I'd ever want to live in L.A. especially after living in a great city like NYC. I'm guessing you feel the same way? You didn't sound too enthused about moving..
I totally understand where you are. I, too, am "inbetween" jobs. I sold my business and at my age have to open another one to be employeed...which is fine..and is the goal...however creating your own job brings about it own challenges. I can understand your desire to work in NYC, and appreciate casting a wider net. Don't leave out San Francisco. I could see you there :-)

Im sick of when people from highschool (I live in the same city as I went to highschool) and they say "so what do you do now?" and I go "searching for work" and all they hear is "unemployed!"
