What a pompous dick... gotta lotta nerve calling John selfish, in my opinion... your brother, even placing aside personal demons, was clearly more cultured and intuitive about individual human condition than this joker could ever hope to be... just my opinion
Eh, petty callousness posing as righteous indignation. "Cartoonish nihilism." I wonder if that person even knows what that means? And the "Hollyweed" reference leads me to believe this is a yet another know-it-all conservative windbag that hates any story that isn't rosy and uplifting.
Hmm. I used to feel like the person in the letter sometimes. Then i got therapy and medication and now am a real feeling whole human being or getting there!More people have to seek treatment than 25 percent of the population.Love your writing, i still have ambitions of being a writer in comedy field, this is a good source material, lol.
So the spirit has to work with the hand, eh? Well it's clear what kind of 'spirit' that stuff emanated from. Clearly there needs to be more ...
But mightn't it be best to ignore it? I expect the references to your brother are are the vilest part of this. He/she accuses you of name-dropping and then mentions Da Vinci .... can you see old Leo hanging out with this turkey?
My editor printed the letter, along with some very nice praise. I read it here to include with a blog I maintain that's a collection of YouTubes chronicling some of the craft's not-so-sweet moments.
Totally agree with ironybrat. What on the gods'green earth does a review like that do to improve the human condition? No nap? Maybe, but more likely it's been three days since a BM.
I love that you're beginning to give us a view on 'Leaving...' Keep it up. It goes verrry deep.
Frack them and the words they rode in on. That LTTE speaks volumes about the sad, sad person behind it. I will spend my day, today, thankful that I am not a heartless person.
Aw. Hope she didn't get you too down. :)
