He carried the torch for 2 years and nearly brought back the once great Slam Dunk Contest. I wish LeBron would have made good on his promise to enter it this year. After the snoozefest that will be this years Dunk Contest I think it will lose all of the momentum it's picked up the past 2 years.

dude do you know how hard it is on average for taller to people to jump high? consider the range of motion that a 7 footer has to do when jumping compared to that of someone say 6 feet tall.. the power a shorter person can get is naturally greater.

but you have to remember, he's that tall so jumping as high as someone shorter is going to be harder, its not like he's only having to lift 6 ft off the ground, or even like 6'5'', he has so much more weight and height to deal with in order to get it that high

When you're 7 ft tall. 10ft hoop might be nothing since you probably only need about 1ft from your jump but you need whole another level of athleticism to jump much higher, especially when you are 7ft tall and weigh as much as Dwight. It requires so much more energy and strength. He just makes it look easy cause he is a freak of nature.
