Street Fighter 3 is for pro fighters. That is why not many people played it because you really had to have some skill to compete. Compared to Street Fighter 4 where you can be cheap ass Sagat and win most times.

this is the same issue with smash bros melee vs brawl.

There are a few reasons for it, which are the companies (sony/nintendo/w.e) are trying to widen the audience of the game by dumbing it down and making it easier for scrubs. If street fighter 4, or smash brawl was like the prequels, online play would be very discouraging for noobs.

So they let the bad players who are to lazy to get good at the game pick it up easier, sacrificing gameplay depth.

I wouldn't go that far. SF4's roster is way more varied and balanced than SF3's. The difference between the parry systems is basically reaction (SF3) vs. prediction (SF4). It's a matter of preference, really.

pulling off a focus attack doesn't require any skill at all.. You just need to know when you use it..

Its not just the parry that makes this video insane, its the fact that he did it in a situation where blocking would of left him dead and he COUNTERED with a super combo of his own to win.

Its not what you pull off that makes you a master at games like this, its when you pull it off. I have parried Chun-Li's super combo myself, in training after trying over and over.

This was pulled off when it mattered.
