hey jerry-where abouts in India was this at? was it Varanasi? I'm of Indian origin dude and i think 20 rupees was a bit too much :)my mother told me though that snakes drink milk only out of necessity--i.e. they are thirsty--i doubt if they drink milk for its calcium content.

Most snake charmers use various tricks (sewing the mouth shut or doing a venomoid proceedure) to keep the snakes from biting them. I'm guessing milk may be one of those tricks though I'm curious now. Mine still isn't getting milk though. I don't even drink milk...
