well i bet we all predicted a crisis when they started the euro But offcourse they dont listen to the people And now we have to pay for the sh*t that the big guys made
the dwarf ... Sarkozy has madeFrance a small country under Germany. Europe is dominated by Germany, the European aid will be made on account of the Germans. Marine Le Pen has the courage to say, like other political economist, the Euro is dead and the only solution is to get out and devalue our currency. It forces us to stay as Germany take this monetary situation.
@BackInAGiffy even Joseph Stiglitz said euro will not during without a federal european nation for these couple of year (impossible to make). Mark can cover Nederland, Germany, North of Belgium. France and south of Europ must build a new money alliance to stick together with our moneys but with common money organization. Euro Union is going to be a God that we must save by contracting more dept to stop inflation. This inflation is the logical event after this crisis.
Greece and Italy have to do the things the EU orders them to do. My country (Netherlands), Germany, Finland and Denmark can't keep financing them. The EU needs a far more centralized government to deal with these issues.
Germany is the ONLY European country left which has even half a prayer of propping the rest of your sorry asses up. Germany should just let the rest of you collapse onto the ash heap of history -- it's exactly where your pathetic asses belong.
@sbvor spread in italy in 2008 was at 38...what happened in only 3 years? i don't think it's just because of berlusconi (who is a moron anyway) germany has destroy the economy in europe, it's a fact, is the only nation in europe who goes on, and why? because had made austerity policies and now is becoming like china, poor product at low cost. it's not true? this, forces other countries to do the same. You're pathetic if you think the crisis is the fault of the individual countries.
@sbvor anyway stop to compare greece (or spain) to italy. is not the same thing! greece had problems first to enter the euro-zone, italy not. if your media loves to say bullshit, good for you but it's not the reality, financial market don't reflect the REAL economy. what will happen now? italian banks and many companies (such as finmeccanica and eni) interest to many..well. we'll fail, so the countries interested will be able to buy OUR companies to a few euros :D or dollars...:)
@sbvor you are ignorant and mad. debt creates wealth, jobs, welfare if you have a sovereign currency. in fact, romania has the lowest debt in europe but is far from be a good nation...for this when we had Lira we was rich, for all 80s and 90s, italy was ones of the first economy in europe and in the world. we had high debt but nevermind if our debt is made whit national banks, it's like a husband who lends money to his wife.
@anedonia8 unfortunately when this euro-drama start we forced to sell our debt abroad and now we are at the mercy of sharks. sorry for my "papyrus" but i hate when people talk without knowing!
Blabber on all you like. The FACT is that your Euro-Socialist FANTASY has crumbled. Now, it is time to pay the piper. I don't have one damn bit of sympathy for any of you Euro-Socialist fools. We Conservatives warned you for decades. You made your own damn bed. Now, you can lay in it.
Unfortunately, you will NOT suffer the full consequence of your ignorant follies. Our Socialist politicians will rob US in order to bail your sorry asses out (AGAIN).
@sbvor ?? italians don't deserve this treatment. italian people are savers and workers, we have done nothing for have this debt on our head, so if you want to insult, look at the mirror. socialist?...you talking about?? who is socialist? lol. steal from the US? they are the cause of this crisis :D (tell to your banks to stop giving money to people who can't pay :))
2) Our own morons who fell for the Euro-Socialist FANTASY have ensured that we too will fall. We'll be the last pillar of Western Civilization to fall. Therefore, we will fall the hardest. There will be nobody left to bail us out (as if any of you worthless Europeans would have anyway).
3) Our lenders only did what our government gave them incentive to do. Google this:
SBVOR: Bill Clinton and The Community Reinvestment Act of 1977
@humberto22ish alot of your country live in poverty something you don't really find in Europe, Brazil may become rich but a large percentage of your population won't live in happiness.
MWcrazyhorse and sbvor COULD YOU STOP POLLUTING THIS VIDEO WITH YOUR PRIVATE LIL FIGHTS? We dont care about which one of you is dah most intelligentzz just f*** off and let other people talk
Any of you optimistic EU liberals/communists starting to see the euro /EU for what it's become?? Normally easier if you have an outsiders perspective :) I'm sure Herman will fix it I have the upmost confidence in him
Europeans and britons are expensive, they have expensive currencies , the crisis started in 2008 and they haven`t devalued a penny. The real problem is the value of their currencies, they don`t grow, don`t create jobs , the have red debts. The real crisis is that you have 20+ countries today with succesul economies Basically Europe insist they are better than the rest and they can have the most expensive salaries and production costs. Offering little to the rest of the world
@serbin16m oh you follow the treaty of Versaile when analysing history? hm normally I though ya'll hated the French. Trust me if they were your neighbours and you'd have Russia on your doorsteps for some one Thousand years you'd be going mental.
@serbin16m what gives you that idea is my question really? ww1 was just everyone testing their new weaponary basically. Germany was tricked into it. It was a conflict between Austria and Serbia but many secret alliances brought Russia, Britain and France in on war against Germany. Hardly a war we would've chosen. But so what the winners write history. ww2 was the revenge for ww1. Sure Hitler would've quite liked to rule Europe, but then again technically he wasn't even German, he was Austrian.
Britain and always think the world revolves around, are not to give lessons of any kind, nor are they supportive, or export anything, continue forever isolated to avoid infecting us with their miseries. That yes, they are number one in export: london getto tourists, foul-mouthed, ill educated, hopeless alcoholic and very unfriendly .. I prefer the Germans, Dutch and French, ha!
EU are unelected burocrats, these unelected burocrats make 90% of the laws for Britain, No wonder criminals have more rights then there victims. Euro have been killed by Greece, Ireland, Portugal ,Spain & Italy. These countries abused Euro by pretending to be bankrupt to extort more money out of European Union.
Well if your not bothered can we have our 48million per day paid into euro coffers back please? Show us the door , haven't you noticed the EUSSR party is over ....
Nobody obliges eurepeans to have the most expensive currency in the world....
the same for the british
, whats the major export of the UK today ? Coldplay and low cost travellers to Portugal....? nobody knows of a product made in england dude , watch ur mouth the UK is a country of banking services,
@jjbarbados the uk exports alot of things, machinery and chemicals are our biggest exports. pharmaceuticals industry is the world's third biggest earner in this sector.
Britain is also a major supplier of plastics, aerospace products, electrical and electronic equipment, alcohol, food, clothes, cars, motorbikes, films, books, music
@jjbarbados we still have a car industry here are a list of cars that are still made in the uk: Ford Fiesta; Honda Civic and Accord; Nissan Micra, Primera, and Almera; Peugeot 206; Toyota Corolla and Avensis; Vauxhall Astra; all Jaguar, Land Rover, MG and Rolls Royce/Bentley models; and some Vectras.
come on, really ? If Europe fails America fails as well, they are even deeper in the shit than Europe. In a couple of years we will think back to this crisis and be proud that we overwhelmed it.
"It is the loss of welfare state that is fueling riots across Europe".
No, our last (fantastic failure) labour government threw (hurled without thought) BILLIONS UPON BILLIONS at welfare - fact. In my opinion, precisely this (unnatural) money flow fertilised this fantastical mindset (generational).
The riots - an extreme manifestation of a generation who under New Labour's entitlement culture, flourished. Society either makes a C-turn, or see communism and entire gated communities. NO JOKE.
100% DISAGREE. This is borderline criminal in my opinion. Finding a job, (determination) is not.
To see a profligate welfare system, visit most british town centres. It's their poor children who i weep for, they're BEING UNDERMINED HUGELY in their early development. This is now generational, producing a radical type of person based purely on taking, consumption and ignorance.
That is the most grotesque ideal in my opinion, churning out precisely that.
this euro crisis left us so jaded...english journalists say...yet they forget that uk didnt give a penny in order to fix that problem and now uk has a debt of 180% gdp asking help from EU.(let me think....werent english say that EU is crap/undemocratic and all that stuff in the Eu parliament?)yet theyr ok having a fake democrasy in their own country and paying their respects to their queen...yup...hipocresy at its best.
@itachiitachi1946 lol what are you on about??? UK debt is around 70-80% of gdp....we aren't asking the EU for help.....we have contributed to the bailout funds (although not as much as other EU countries, because we aren't in the euro you see), and the queen is purely a symbol and has no say in anything (the same as other european countries who have a monarchy). LOL, come on learn about the world around you first.....
@itachiitachi1946 ....oh and another thing......your country receives massive "development aid" EVERY YEAR, long before the bailouts etc. It's money to pay for you to build roads, railways, communications etc. And who pays for that? Germany, Netherlands, UK, France.....
@Gary190tube look whose tlaking..HA! the english dude whose country pays NO money to EU at all and yet they receive what 10-12 billions of euros evryday? boy...u have the nerve talking like that? please...as 4 germany and france u know that germany erans 10 billions from greece economic crisis? u clearly r so naive.
@itachiitachi1946 LOL yeah that's all true, you're not on drugs at all, you obviously got your head screwed on, nothing wrong with you at all....you're a troll....goodbye!!!
Lets say euro and the EU collapses, then what? What are the alternatives? Each nation for itself? In this kind of brutal global market?! China would eat us one by one.
We stand better chances if all european nations are united. A federation is needed, with one European government and with it's own standing army and foreign policy. Geostrategicaly it makes a lot of sense.
SOUNDS LIKE A DEMOCRATIC PARADISE. It is people like you who are happy to run rough-shod over another culture or "way of life"..This is a very very dangerous and charged idea.
In my opinion there's a highly sinister ideal linking socialism, islam and the bloated welfare state. Ordinary working citizens FEEL SO POWERLESS.
From your name, I assume you're part of the ex-communist eastern block.
Welfare state is the only way to bring money (through public services) to ordinary people. It is the loss of welfare state that is fueling riots across Europe. UK is not the only protesting, small European countries also protest, but you don't hear about it in your media. In east Europe tycoons have bought all our resources and now they are dismanteling welfare state, saying it's the only alternative to this crisis. But that's bullshit. Only strong EU can deal with tycoons
Well if it's a rubber sheet and if the ball is pulling down it will bounce back, like a trampoline :)
From where I'm standing NHS is paradise, I would switch from Croatian health service to NHS in a nano-second if I could. You have no idea what common folk must go through in order to get proper service (guaranteed by the constitution btw) here in Croatia.
So glad that Sweden didnt go with the change of currency from Kronor to Euro, we have a good and steady economy with the Swedish crown and why should we switch something that works?, it is pretty clear that the Euro isnt going so good at the moment but there are still people in Sweden that say that we shoulld switch to Euro instead of the crown, I do not know how they think when they say that, maybe they have not seen in what state the Euro currency is in at the moment.
The roads I like best are private toll roads paid for by those who actually use them.
Using public roads as justification for Socialism was always a canard. But, that argument became flat-out obsolete decades ago (with the invention of toll tag technology).
Now, go throw yourself where you belong (onto the ash heap of history, with Mao, Lenin, Stalin, Che and the rest of your Marxist pals).
Even the USA is collapsing now, the Euro was a disaster waiting to happen. This leaves Britain, oh how it waited on the sidelines, how Thatcher was booed when she predicted correctly what would happen. "I told you so" is a very fitting message. You can get as many Germans, French, Greeks and Spanish on here as you like but the British don't care as they were right, you can argue it to the death but BRITAIN TOLD YOU SO. I love how smug George Osborne is at the moment.
Without the truth, there can be no real morality, justice, equality, success, freedom, love, security, peace, spirituality or even survival. If you are seeking the truth, search "Truth Contest" in Google, then open The Present on the homepage and read what it says.
The EU (like the UN) was -- from the beginning -- nothing but a Socialist wealth redistribution scheme on an international scale. Here we are. As planned, the more productive EU nations get to "share the wealth" with their slacker neighbors. Happy now?
What brought the PIGS to this point? Two words -- Entitlement Mentality.
Take a good look -- stay this Socialist course and the PIGS are the future for all of Western Civilization.
dude... i don't even know where to start with the correcting... the redistribution in europe is 2/3 farmer subsidies... the rest goes to infra structure projects and every country gets them. u are mixing EU and euro zone. and the EU is the greatest peace founding institute there is. travelling without borders, exporting without regulations, same standards... it boosts economy. if u wanna go all "every country alone in europe" u should read some history books!
I'm sure your fellow Germans will be thrilled to learn they will not be required -- through FORCE of law -- to pay for the absurd levels of entitlements lavished upon the Greeks.
Oh, wait...
Your fellow Germans WILL be required to do just that. Guess I was right after all.
P.S.) Those who purported to "educate" you did nothing but indoctrinate you into a Marxist mentality. You are now free to BEGIN your real world education.
I suppose that means the IMF need not bailout Greece and the USA need not pay our $68 billion share to the IMF. We'll just let you Germans foot the bill.
Google this, moron:
"The largest member of the IMF is the United States"
Google this too:
"European debt crisis: IMF withholding Greek bailout funds"
@sbvor uuuh 37 billion, I am impressed, moron, no one gives a shit about your poor, lame backward country. go and try winning your wars with that money. It'll barely buy you 2 weeks.
@sbvor Rescued? Wait so you fight vs us in 2 world wars. And now you expect a thank you??? We did the dirty work fighting the soviet union, which as you may know as american was a little bit of a threat at the time. And yes obv. Hitler was a nutter.
P.S.) During the Cold War, without the USA, the Soviets would have overrun West Germany in a New York nanosecond. The USA saved your sorry bacon (again).
@sbvor yes true the Soviets may have advanced into Europe, but it is a funny way to look at it since had the U.S not fought against Germany in the first place we may well have won the war in the east. But granted ofc. that unlike the French and the treaty of Versialle you treated Germany with respect, not without a strategical interest ofc. being allied against the new (or not so new) enemies.
@sbvor no, u'd need to reread what I've been saying and no I did not say that. Btw the name NSDAP National Socialist was a nice sounding name to trick the voters. Hitler had little in mind with socialism. That, besides the Jews, was his main enemy. He liquidated the communist/ socialist opposition in Germany and went to war with the Soviets to fight the "Bolschevist, communist threat".
You sound like a neo-Socialist attempting to rewrite history in yet another failed attempt to deny the inherent totalitarian nature of ALL Socialist ideologies, including Hitler's National Socialist German Workers' Party.
Just because one Socialist variant (Nazi) is opposed to another Socialist variant (Communist) doesn't meant they are not two side of the same totalitarian coin.
ALL Socialist ideologies are profoundly evil (and enormously destructive).
You are witnessing the destructive nature of Socialism all around you right now (as Euro-Socialism collapses under the weight of this always doomed to fail utopian fantasy).
@sbvor Both Germany under the Nazis and the Soviet Union under Stalin were dictatorships. No country in Europe today is socialist. I don't know were you get your information though if I had to guess I'd say fox "news", but I can help to explain were your misconception stems from. Other than in the u.s, in Europe 'social' or 'socialist' is not an insult and so many parties have it in their name, even though they are not socialist by your or any other defintion of the term.
What? You've never heard the term Euro-Socialist? You think it is not an accurate description of the political persuasions which created the collapse you're currently witnessing?
Listen up, pal -- Socialism is not binary. It is a continuum. Ever heard of the Fabian Socialists? No, of course you haven't. You're too busy trying to deny the obvious.
Enjoy the collapse of your Euro-Socialist fantasy -- it's going to be a very rough ride (all across your continent).
@sbvor The key point you make is "sadly we're next" (or first). But you know what the luck is for both, U.S and Europe? There is no real place the money can go. The global currencies are Euro and Dollar and it doesn't make much difference. Government bonds, it's the same thing.
The PIG(S) states and U.S have amounted too much debt. Two ways to change it. you focus on expenses (welfare etc.) here is another: increase revenues (taxes). The oligarchy/ corps oppose this. 2 sides to the coin.
History has proven time and time again that the only way to increase revenues is to grow the economy. The Laffer curve has proven to be accurate. Increase taxes and you do two things:
1) Slow the economy, resulting in less tax revenue.
2) Increase incentives for tax evasion, resulting in less tax revenue.
Government spending is obscene. Countless different agencies all charged with doing exactly the same task and none of them doing it. The yuan is the next reserve currency.
Across all of Western Civilization, the entitlement mentality is killing us. But, the people continue to demand more and more of the very poison that is killing them. They will continue to do so right up until the bitter end. You see, it is human nature to believe in the benevolence of the Fairy Godmother right up until the very moment when the bitch slits their collective throats.
We're going down. We have no more than 20 years left -- maybe less than three. It's a natural cycle.
The USA still has the strongest economy in all of Western Civilization. That is why we will be the last pillar of Western Civilization to fall. That is also why we will fall the hardest. Greece is being spared the full consequence of their folly. So too will the rest of Europe. But, when the USA falls, there will be nobody left to bail us out (as if any of you ungrateful European punks would anyway).
@sbvor here is a little something for a quick comparison Germany v. U.S. We have a somewhat different take on things. /watch?v=XpAxVgC5mI8&feature=related
@sbvor this was a structural comparison with direct reference to our debate. What you say about the economy sizes is tueu yet irrelevant as the u.s have an entire continent and yet still relative to size, Germany and U.S economies are equally large, despite said structural differences of size of government, taxes and welfare state.
"relative to size, Germany and U.S economies are equally large"
That's false. Google this, you Socialist pinhead:
List of countries by GDP (nominal) per capita
Germany is the least disastrous of the Euro-Socialist nations. But, your Socialist politicians have still managed to hobble the talents of your people (even more so than our own Socialists have).
@sbvor well the reptards are just corporate sell outs. Don't call them "Dims". you are not the only one that can use clever insults by replacing a letter with another.
Again despite said structural differences compparing U.S and Germany there is no difference.
fuck EU, fuck NATO, fuck USA, €uro crisis is one point at the elite´s goal to establish fuck NewWorldOrder.. €uroslavery to save Money from the Corruptian Goverments to raise power at all devil concern´s
Look I don't like the song either it is patronising ,but if you guys don't want the Uk involved in the EU write .to out sodding PMinister & demand a referendum for us.
Whilst your at it let in Turkey and the rest of the ex soviet states into the EU , we're off
Bollocks check who pays into the IMF , we follow bias EU rulings to the letter . Complete with sending 2000 jobs to Germany as we've shut down our last train factory. Why are we in the EU when we don't have a say over euro and EU policies are so german centric
Some food for though - the Greek economy is only 2% of the EU's total GDP, and at least in the Eurozone we are resolved to solving our debt problems. The UK and US are too scared to even address their debt crisis, and the easy way out is printing more money (well electronically that is) and to speak about 'Quantitative Easing' so that the public doesn't realize that the government has resorted to techniques usually used by banana republics to avoid outright 'default'
funny.. I always thought it was Greece politicians who robbed their own people and got them into bankrupt... if you take loan with high rates you are responsible as much as bank who borrows you that money and you should ask yourself 'can I return that amount of money even if I like to spend much more then my incomes are?'. well I think that wasn't the case with Greece authorities. the way they running their country was like.. 'ok, first I'm gonna buy new BMW 7 and some nice playboy mansion'.
They Brits applied to get in the Common Market, and have done so to do everything possible to put slow down the unification/integration process. Their song is no surprise.
Then, when their oil and financial industries are going to go the way of their mining and manufacturing, I don't think they'll get a lot of sympathies on the European mainland. I feel sorry for some Brits I know, and are nice folks, though.
@lmfaooooooooooooooo1 I agree with everything! Except we've kept the AAA rating as Cameron is taxing us to the hilt & has passed radical cuts through parliament, which we feel. The EU should not dictate to Portugal ,we also have the same loony policies. UK doesn't even have euro but will pay for this! & yes our bankers are gamblers & thieves
@161rewind I think you will find that the UK' contribution to the european financial stability facility (which is the institution that along with the IMF, and the EU Commission) is exactly 0.00 € so saying the UK has to pay for eurozone fiscal mismanagement is incorrect. Also tax rises, and civil service and public spending cuts that are prevalent in the UK are austerity measures. So with a 4% + inflation rate, stagnant growth, and an inability to pay the interest on UK debt in £. UK not better
@vocboy well I think we do pay via the European Financial Stabilisation Mechanism and the IMF (but not the European Financial Stability Facility).
And you're right we're probably aren't in a better situation either. Our yearly debt levels are coming down but our growth isn't that great.
Don't pay too much attention to this video, this is just 1 newspaper pushing its own political agenda. A crisis in the euro benefits nobody, in europe or the uk either.
Continental Europeans lack any form of humour, and it shows! Why reacting this way, when you have the option to simply stop listening. That's something I don't get...
@lhpuvogel It's not simple, the eurozone is a monetary zone, and not a fiscal one. So government spending is left under the loose supervision of the commission but otherwise autonomous. The problem we have is that seeing as the fiscal rubbish is caused by southern states, why should the north, pay for the overendebtment of the south?
Okay... So... The Euro ain't neither a blessing nor a curse... It has two sides... In common the EU is a great idea... !!! In my opionion the problem of all that is mentioned in the song (Though the song is sh...) ... The problem is that greece only could've joined because of a flub...!
An yes it is true... Germany got down since 2002... But it is a strong nation! :)
@lmfaoooooooooo1 Seriously? For the Strong countries in europe like France and Germany the Euro is a fucking disaster, in that point the British are right those countries would be better off without euro right now.
But you know why they keep it? Why they bail out shit countries like greece who are so into illegal work 50% don't even pay taxes anymore? It's because what if shit gets bad for them.
@lmfaoooooooooo1 Sure, and what are the odds getting it back from greece in the next 20 years? THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE! Besides it's not the southern countries which get the most German exports. It's the Americans! Exports are rarely shipped down there.
Your opinion is so far away from professional, it's like when the wall fell, in Germany they said "Oh my god that's so stupid we have to pay for them now" because they don't have even the slightest understanding how economy works.
dont think all german get this opinion about the southern countries. we have a political problem in europe, not a problem with the society of european people.
@lmfaoooooooooo1 Not only in Portugal everything is more expensive since the euro came. In Germany it was the same. And Germanys economy is holding a great stand of the European union while states like Britain are doing few for the EU and are just profiting from it. And yeah, the money system is like that so that you are not allowed to produce things so that you have to buy them from us. But for that, we are buying things from you so that every country has things to sell to the others.
I don't get this shit.... the brits should take a look at their own currency and at their own country. I'm so glad they have the pound, so we'll won't have to rescue them too, when they get bankrupt...
@11kingtigertank11 You dont get it because the Brits can be threatened by ANYTHING and never lose a sense of humour. Tounge firmly in cheek, but you probably dont get that either do you :P
Viva la Western Spring ......THEY WILL TAKE our taxes will be next, this is ILLEGAL....Everyone please google : peoples pledge uk ..........and get our referendums
If Germany didn't have the euro, it would have more problems to export goods (because of the currencies) . Our economy is dependent on exports. Don't forget that. And, guess, who imports most of german goods?... It's the EU.
derp a derk derk...... germany profits from the euro,we didnt suffer from it , seriously.... hate seein all these rednecks post such crap ! but as eric cartman would say: screw you guys , im goin home
Please all countries write to our PM Cameron ,you know his address. The Uk & other nations under the Lisbon Treaty are legally bound to have a REFERENDUM to leave the EU if they introduce taxes which they ARE under extra VAT.If we have one ,we can set a pattern for you guys to have one &leave euro & devaluate. Threaten to sue Cameron, it's a real chance - most Tories want one - PLEASE do this
I hope so much EU gets destroyed & we get our DMark back:(
At the Moment, Germans are too lazy to make Demonstrations, but as soon as everyone has to pay direcly for the Crisis, I hope, they wil learn...
Please don't stop demonstrating Greece! Without bad EU-Politics & horrible EURO this Crisis wouldn't exist. You are not to blame, the Politics are to blame!
germany is the only country who pays and pays and pays for this shit. yes, we have a good economie in here, but why? because we are intelligent and hard workers- now we have to pay for the other .. our taxes will rise. what we will get back? NOTHING i guess - thx EU
ohh no...its not funny, monty python is funny. this song is just okay, but lame one. the main problem is our economy system. if you think about 70 music think about an idear not about this stupit stuff. if you hear about a crisis in south europe, wish to kick this §%$& bank assholes
@MrALBFLO this is so stupid, EU is a blessing for us. The world appreciates the role of our country in building the EU! We must not lose that! Euro made many things more expensive but also we are now the world's 4th strongest economy!!! Greetings from Germany ;)
hahahahahahahahah germany went down and ist going down since 2002 since the day when the euro currency came in germany , germany dont need the EU , the EU need germany and this ist what everybody should know , BUT THE PEOPLE OF GERMANY DONT WANT THE EU !!! , you are a dreamer if you say the life has improved with the euro currency in germany , it is completely the different whether our economy in germany were and is going stronger every year !!! WE DONT WANT THE EU !!
@MrALBFLO Yeah right.. you know every single German? Most of the people I know are having a job, earn ok and enjoy there lives here. I don't see why you are so bitter? Don't sell our country short.
@daniel89jena we were the 3rd/4th strongest economy in the world even BEFORE the euro. Who is against a european econmic community? Certainly nobody! The euro, however, is a predominantly ideological entity. The economic merging of european countries DEFINITELY favoured Germany but at what expense? e.g Truth is, our domestic economy is WAY to weak to handle a export crisis. Salaries have stagnated or even shrinked. All due to more competitive capacity leaving other countries importing too much!
@daniel89jena I beg to differ: EU is a mess for all of us because as always european countries have each played a different game and each for it's own gain, thus the UK hasn't taken the Euro (not fool like most of the other 'partners'), and like Ireland they didn't entered into Schengen.
When it comes to Germany, it's the second most indebted country in the world behind the USA and the most indebted in the EU. Wait and see!
@maxbuzzFR germany has a profit of 2,3 trillion euros per year.do u know what that means? that is the richest eu state in the world.loans r based to german indexes.germans economy is the base of the economy of the world.second most important economy is saudis arabias (due to avast oil reserves)so when u say that germany has debt its like saying the richest man on earth is poor or like beeing fake rich
@itachiitachi1946 Hi. Thanks for those statements. Now do you have official documentation to prove what you're saying? I'm eager to have a look at them.
What I got as information source about the Germany debt is a French newspaper who got its info from EuroStat, and it was regarding year 2010 (3rd most indebted country in the world, not second). 2011 eleven will be better for German debt, that is lower according to reuters of 17 dec 2010.
No, we don't think the crisis is funny. After all, we are paying for it too. I don't know who would create such a horrible youtube video but it is certainly not how most Britons feel.
What we want is a democratic European Union for ALL CITIZENS, not to be ruled by unelected idiots.
the dushfuck who did this song is a poor ass dude like the other gyu said britains debts r higher then spains == whatchu say now redneck? kiss my nice portuguese ass asshole n make a song bout the uk mofo
If the britains think that is funny... they should make a song about themselves... Their debts are higher than the spanish... Britain you're plain ridiculous...!
Thinking that the whole financial crisis have been caused by Greece and other PIGS it is at least naive ... This is a side-effect of the financial crisis started in US years ago and now expanded to EU ... The root cause is the financial "virtual reality" created by investment banks, hedge funds etc who now set the game's rules - contrary not only to the actual needs of the world nations but also against traditional industrial complex and bankers interests.

You're pathetic if you think the crisis is the fault of the individual countries.

It's true...the US had the biggest real estate bubble the world has ever seen.

shipped to "suckers" that were doomed to fail. Therefore....the world is doomed.

The real problem is the value of their currencies, they don`t grow, don`t create jobs , the have red debts. The real crisis is that you have 20+ countries today with succesul economies Basically Europe insist they are better than the rest and they can have the most expensive salaries and production costs.
NO JOKE.
bertyUK 6 months ago
"Welfare state is the only way....".

MWcrazyhorse 3 months ago
@MWcrazyhorse,
Are you seriously suggesting the USA should not have waged war on the Nazis?
Do you think a world dominated by the Nazis would have been any better than a world dominated by the Soviets?
Newsflash! Nazis and Soviets were two sides of the same totalitarian Socialist coin. There was not a dimes worth of difference between them.
Today, there is not a dimes worth of difference between neo-Nazis and neo-Communists.
sbvor 3 months ago
@sbvor no, u'd need to reread what I've been saying and no I did not say that. Btw the name NSDAP National Socialist was a nice sounding name to trick the voters. Hitler had little in mind with socialism. That, besides the Jews, was his main enemy. He liquidated the communist/ socialist opposition in Germany and went to war with the Soviets to fight the "Bolschevist, communist threat".
MWcrazyhorse 3 months ago
@MWcrazyhorse,
You sound like a neo-Socialist attempting to rewrite history in yet another failed attempt to deny the inherent totalitarian nature of ALL Socialist ideologies, including Hitler's National Socialist German Workers' Party.
sbvor 3 months ago
@MWcrazyhorse,
Just because one Socialist variant (Nazi) is opposed to another Socialist variant (Communist) doesn't meant they are not two side of the same totalitarian coin.
ALL Socialist ideologies are profoundly evil (and enormously destructive).
You are witnessing the destructive nature of Socialism all around you right now (as Euro-Socialism collapses under the weight of this always doomed to fail utopian fantasy).
sbvor 3 months ago
@sbvor Both Germany under the Nazis and the Soviet Union under Stalin were dictatorships. No country in Europe today is socialist. I don't know were you get your information though if I had to guess I'd say fox "news", but I can help to explain were your misconception stems from. Other than in the u.s, in Europe 'social' or 'socialist' is not an insult and so many parties have it in their name, even though they are not socialist by your or any other defintion of the term.
MWcrazyhorse 3 months ago
@MWcrazyhorse,
Sadly, we're next.
sbvor 3 months ago
@sbvor The key point you make is "sadly we're next" (or first). But you know what the luck is for both, U.S and Europe? There is no real place the money can go. The global currencies are Euro and Dollar and it doesn't make much difference. Government bonds, it's the same thing.
The PIG(S) states and U.S have amounted too much debt. Two ways to change it. you focus on expenses (welfare etc.) here is another: increase revenues (taxes). The oligarchy/ corps oppose this. 2 sides to the coin.
MWcrazyhorse 3 months ago
@MWcrazyhorse,
History has proven time and time again that the only way to increase revenues is to grow the economy.
The yuan is the next reserve currency.
sbvor 3 months ago
@MWcrazyhorse,
Across all of Western Civilization, the entitlement mentality is killing us.
It's a natural cycle.
sbvor 3 months ago 38
@MWcrazyhorse,
The USA still has the strongest economy in all of Western Civilization. That is why we will be the last pillar of Western Civilization to fall. That is also why we will fall the hardest. But, when the USA falls, there will be nobody left to bail us out (as if any of you ungrateful European punks would anyway).

That's false. Google this, you Socialist pinhead:

I feel sorry for some Brits I know, and are nice folks, though.
otanasivert 7 months ago
beside this song is disgusting, it's really boring and bad songwriting.
no interesting beat, no emotion. I would love to spend a few more billions to greece, if the guardian would just stop producing such a waste of time.

161rewind 7 months ago
@161rewind I think you will find that the UK' contribution to the european financial stability facility (which is the institution that along with the IMF, and the EU Commission) is exactly 0.00 € so saying the UK has to pay for eurozone fiscal mismanagement is incorrect. Also tax rises, and civil service and public spending cuts that are prevalent in the UK are austerity measures. So with a 4% + inflation rate, stagnant growth, and an inability to pay the interest on UK debt in £. UK not better
vocboy 7 months ago
@vocboy well I think we do pay via the European Financial Stabilisation Mechanism and the IMF (but not the European Financial Stability Facility).
And you're right we're probably aren't in a better situation either. Our yearly debt levels are coming down but our growth isn't that great.
Don't pay too much attention to this video, this is just 1 newspaper pushing its own political agenda. A crisis in the euro benefits nobody, in europe or the uk either.

Continental Europeans lack any form of humour, and it shows! Why reacting this way, when you have the option to simply stop listening. That's something I don't get...
lhpuvogel 7 months ago

And the EU needs Germany...!
TheTiKay91 7 months ago
@TheTiKay91 the EU is a great idea, but the euro was introduced too early. We need political integration first.
Gary190tube 6 months ago
@lmfaoooooooooo1 Seriously? For the Strong countries in europe like France and Germany the Euro is a fucking disaster, in that point the British are right those countries would be better off without euro right now.
But you know why they keep it? Why they bail out shit countries like greece who are so into illegal work 50% don't even pay taxes anymore? It's because what if shit gets bad for them.
This is one big insurance.
Phosnectar 7 months ago
@lmfaoooooooooo1 Sure, and what are the odds getting it back from greece in the next 20 years? THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE! Besides it's not the southern countries which get the most German exports. It's the Americans! Exports are rarely shipped down there.
Your opinion is so far away from professional, it's like when the wall fell, in Germany they said "Oh my god that's so stupid we have to pay for them now" because they don't have even the slightest understanding how economy works.
Phosnectar 7 months ago
SHAGGY brings it more to the point with his new song: "F*** the recession, im spending" (Fired up)
couchklips 7 months ago
dont think all german get this opinion about the southern countries. we have a political problem in europe, not a problem with the society of european people.
HelgeHeisa 7 months ago

If Germany didn't have the euro, it would have more problems to export goods (because of the currencies) . Our economy is dependent on exports. Don't forget that. And, guess, who imports most of german goods?... It's the EU.

@daniel89jena
Yeah...you actually know that Germany was at the end of the 90's, BEFORE THE EURO the 3rd strongest economy in the world ?
adassi 7 months ago
@daniel89jena we were the 3rd/4th strongest economy in the world even BEFORE the euro. Who is against a european econmic community? Certainly nobody! The euro, however, is a predominantly ideological entity. The economic merging of european countries DEFINITELY favoured Germany but at what expense? e.g Truth is, our domestic economy is WAY to weak to handle a export crisis. Salaries have stagnated or even shrinked. All due to more competitive capacity leaving other countries importing too much!
MrVaChina 7 months ago
@daniel89jena I beg to differ: EU is a mess for all of us because as always european countries have each played a different game and each for it's own gain, thus the UK hasn't taken the Euro (not fool like most of the other 'partners'), and like Ireland they didn't entered into Schengen.
When it comes to Germany, it's the second most indebted country in the world behind the USA and the most indebted in the EU. Wait and see!
maxbuzzFR 6 months ago
@maxbuzzFR germany has a profit of 2,3 trillion euros per year.do u know what that means? that is the richest eu state in the world.loans r based to german indexes.germans economy is the base of the economy of the world.second most important economy is saudis arabias (due to avast oil reserves)so when u say that germany has debt its like saying the richest man on earth is poor or like beeing fake rich
itachiitachi1946 6 months ago
