So they just cut him loose? That's disappointing. But all TV stations are cutting back. Channel 4 could really use his talent. I really like the guy.

@ASKconard Yeah they cut him loose, and some stations are cutting back. They're down to 1 sports guy at the station, but again Sinclair is all about young and cheap talent. They're not investing in anyones lives. This stations makes the most money out of all 56 stations, and they couldn't keep him. I don't want anybody to loose their job, but they should of cut Clay Hall, before Anthony! Anthony been at the station longer than Clay.. Just my opinion, and Channel 4 in shambles!

Did Channel 4 cut Omar Ruiz on the weekends? I haven't seen that guy in a long time.

@ASKconard Yeah they did, Smally doing double duty all 7 days just like Clay Hall on Channel 6.

I agree about Sinclair 100%, I live in Dayton and we deal with the same kind of duopoly with Sinclair owning out ABC and Fox affiliates.. We do however have a Cox owned station, WHIO, which blows all of the competition in town out of the water. I do feel thay WSYX would be so much better served under different ownership...

Thanks guys! I've been a loyal viewer for many years of WSYX and yes if they had a different owner it would be a well run station. WHIO NewsCenter 7 is #1 across the board plain and simple as well as other Cox Station across the board. WFTV, WSOC, KTVU, and the mothership flagship WSB-TV in Atlanta. I've done my research and history of WSYX and they have a rich history, but when you have a company that doesn't know how to run a station it will always remain in the gutter!

"Sinclair isin't cutting the mustard" that's a good quote man...after their little debacle with Mediacom...again sinclair is just...well I can't say what I really want to say cause I work for a sinclair owned station in East Central Illinois

Oh yea their was alot of press about Mediacom and also Brighthouse cable networks! I know we can all wish, but my wish is for this company to be dismantle, and go into bankruptcy, and all assests sold to the highest bigger of other established well run media ownerships for all of Sinclair stations and the owners of Sinclair meaning the mama and her three stoges of children are hung at the stake! litterally!
