  • Cunts!

  • To all Americans watching this, Hannan is a bit of a joke figure in the UK.

    Just so you know...

  • @BomberAl123 Yeh he's a joke because he's willing to tell people things they don't want to hear. Most people are quite happy for the government to keep spending billions of pounds we don't have, so long as our generation gets by. £850 billion bail-out for the banks? Where did we get that money from? Did we wish for it out of thin air? The current spending cuts are nowhere near enough to deal with our debt. 56% of our govt. spending between 2008 and 2011 was more borrowed money. If we don't

  • @BomberAl123 (cont.) deal with our debt now, taxes will just get higher to pay for debt interest. And borrowing costs get higher each year, not only for the govt. but for the private sector, which in turn leads to less investment in the economy. Then the bond market will stop buying gilts, and their price will fall. Gilt yields rise, and then we end up paying even more interest on what we borrow. Then we'll lose our AAA rating. We're on a one-way road to a full blown economic crisis.

  • fox in england? its called sky. be careful what you wish for!!!

  • Daniel Hannan is a third rate politician. You Yanks should understand that we send all our retired or debased politicans to europe. No one actually bothers to vote to elected this muppet. Less than 10% of the south east voted for him!! He lets you think that Thatcher was a socialist !! H eis correct, we do have non-jobs..MEP's are a fine example. he is even english, he's from PERU, lives in SPAIN. YOUARE WELCOME TO LORD HAW HAW.

  • @bakersteven3 Sounds like an ignorant retard. Looks like an ignorant retard. Must be an ignorant retard.

  • Winston Churchill: "We must build a kind of United States of Europe. In this way only will hundreds of millions be able to regain the joys and hopes which make life worth living". Churchill was one of the biggest supporters and promoters for the EU. Your Nazi claims are extremely naive in the context of real history.

  • Daniel Hannan has probably never used the NHS, if he did he wouldn't be saying the things he is saying about it! I can choose my doctor (there are 2 practises on the same street and both do pretty well thanks very much), now, under the SNP, I don't have to pay a penny for my prescriptions, and my cousin (who is in Yorkhill hospital with a brain tumour) is doing very well under some of the best care in the world. If I had one criticism of the NHS it's this: train up more doctors and nurses!

  • @lizziedavidson1987 "I don't have to pay a penny for my prescriptions" ....You have paid ..you are paying ...you will pay. Money doesn't grow on trees. Didn't anybody tell you.

  • I hate Glenn Beck.

  • @mark32811 Why? Because you were told to hate him by other people, and never sat down and watched his show or read any of his book? Or do you just disagree with him, which is ok to do so, but hating someone you disagree with is quite much. I started watching him because of people like you who constantly talked shit about him, I wanted to see who he was for myself, and while I don't agree with everything, he makes a hell of a lot of sense MOST of the time.

  • @inkmage80 @inkmage80 no because I make snap judgments about celebrities I have never met, just like the rest of modern society. You're also guilty. In addition, I feel he restrains the magnitude of the "monolithic and ruthless" conspiracy JFK mentioned. I adore Hannan, he's very smart.

  • @mark32811 Whenever I hear a bunch of people hating on someone, I never go along with the group until I see the person for myself- what they're about, what they stand for, or do. After doing that, and then looking at the type of people who hate him... I cannot stand with them, and then I understand why they hold such hatred for him which is no surprise. Yes I also think Hannan is very smart, and I hope more people like him all over stand up and speak out more.

  • 17 people have no common sense.

  • Jeezus the Yanks take him seriously?! No other fucker does.

  • @RedJoe10 Only brainwashed people with no wisdom (many lack that around the world), don't take people like him serious.. Many around the world are incapable of opening their eyes, to see the things really going on, many can't and don't think for themselves allowing others to do it for them-and many are just willfully ignorant, and don't care or want to see it.

  • @inkmage80 You're a virgin, aren't you? Go and get laid and chill the fuck out.

  • @RedJoe10 far from a virgin my friend, and that little retort of yours shows just how much nothing of what you say holds any kind of importance. I'm definitely "chill"- though how about you educate yourself, and think for yourself to save yourself from looking foolish. ^_^

  • @inkmage80 Shagging your sister doesn't count.

  • @RedJoe10 Play nice.

  • funny how he said it was all wrong and then see the CBI, WB, IMF, IFS and the BoE all said that the decission taken by the government was the right ones

  • no one votes for MEPs, these people are more political faliures than Lords they don't speak for the people, you dump a politician in the European Parliment to get rid of him

  • Type PRIZE before youtube and hit enter

  • Check out Nigel Farage videos on the Eurodictatorship

  • I hate Glenn Beck so very much; but Daniel Hannan kicks arse

  • The best most intelligent and decent chap i have ever heard in my life.Future prime minister, future saviour of our country and it's people.

  • 'You would never get a question like that on the BBC' That is because the is NOT run by Rupert Murdoch. Thank god.

  • @funisverygood Everyone wants a news organization that shares their opinion. There is no unbiased news anymore. If people call it unbiased, it's only because they agree with the opinion. That's why I have all the major north american networks in my TV package. They tell me what they think, and I'll decide what I think. We've become very hostile to differing ideas. Fox isn't just a right wing news organization, they're the ONLY right wing news organization. As long as we're still able to talk...

  • @surfer53 Well said, comrade, well said.

  • That's what's wrong with America too -- political parties putting their own interest ahead of what's good for the country.

  • These guys are onto it!

  • dan hannan sucks the dicks and strokes the egos of the right wing. he only says what he says because labour were in power, nothing will really change under the conservatives, but hannan will shut up now the conservatives are in power. hannan is an idiot, you can tell he is conservative because they dont want the nhs never have but his party will say that it is labour who ruins it. he wants health care for the rich and not the poor that will not fly here america have have this prick

  • @geordieracer222 that sounds extremely socialist. and entirely unfair. this whole "rich vs poor" bullshit doesn't help anyone. class warfare helps no one.

  • Glenn Beck is a rude bastard

  • @SirOneoneselfandone Eh...Hannan's probably used to getting interrupted while talking. Combative rhetoric is a feature of British politics.

  • @MuddleThrough4yrs I am British, and it is never that bad

  • When you're in trouble ring the RAC! Sorry not the roadside assistance people-Racism Awareness Counsellors. Come on, if we're going to have quango jobs like that why not make a title such as British Values Preservation Counsellor, people that love the country and encourage others to!

  • You know what saves a lot of money?

    END THE FUCKING WARS.

1 Trillion Dollars down the fucking Toilet.

  • I love watching Dan Hannan smile and then the momentary pause when he wonders whether to tell Glenn Beck he's actually in Belgium, not France

  • Well ben i think your in the 1% out of 99% of people in our country who is against us , if you ask any random person on the street of london and say what makes you proud to be british , most would say the NHS.

its not perfect no , but we dont turn out back on the sick and poor for profits.

  • Glenn you idiot-it snot england england, its Britain.

    Typical stupid yank.

  • @judopathoftruth When are you Brits GONNA learn, in the USA we are not YANKS some of us are southern, we do not like being called YANKS!

  • I like how beck brings on the one guy from britain who is against the NHS lol

  • @chanceie12 not true, I also am against government provided healthcare,as are many other thinking people. Government funded however, as Daniel Hannan agrees, is a different kettle of fish.

  • "What is going on?" They are bankrupting all the countries so they can bring the world under one global bank/control. What part of political/economics do you not understand, Glen?

  • what a prick. shut up you tory rich boy

  • you know your a failing politician when your appearing on american t.v about british politics.

  • @shani6969 especially the fox network lol

  • just by looking at him makes me feel sick

  • Hannan is a cunt.

  • @cnavaro88 Your a left wing cunt

  • @jacobmandley

    You're a despicable anti-European, right winged tosser.

If you hate Europe so much, why not fuck off from our glorious continent?

  • @cnavaro88 We will one day when we realise we are broke , then im sure your glorious continent won't be so glorious anymore with out our (MY) money !

  • @jacobmandley

    No he's a cunt

  • Beck isn't a respectable face for conservatism (real conservatism - small government, free trade, etc.). People like Beck and O'Reilly essentially advocate as much government intervention as any run-of-the-mill socialist, except one supports it for the military and enforcement of morality, and the other for social welfare and equality.

btw, Cameron will win, but its sad that he pales so greatly to Hannan who doesn't even stand a chance of attaining a position in Cabinet, never mind as leader.

  • Beck is suck a fucking idiot and it's so so apparent when speaking to someone as articulate and intelligent as Hannan.

  • Because the BBC, ie., The Bolshevik Broadcasting Corp., is full of jews....the very people who INVENTED communism. AS Lenin said, "IF you want to control the the oppostion, lead it."

  • Can anyone in Britain tell me if this guy has a prayer of becoming Prime Minister one day? Does he have that kind of influence and following? I love Hannan and the English people, but usually I think of the people of the UK as much bigger fans of big government than those in the US. Am I wrong about that?

  • He may do, but the Conservative Party will more than likely take the gov in may, with David Cameron being PM; and I can't see him stepping aside anytime soon. The UK is part of the EU, and the EU is extremely powerful, if you disagree with European integration, they label you 'facist' or a 'nazi', which is an insult to the ppl who lost their lives due to nazism and is ironic since THEY, the european unifiers, are the nazis. that's what hitler wanted, a united, socialist europe.

  • Comment removed

  • @matrix4022 You hit the nail squarely on the head! It is amazing to see what is going on in Europe. Then one looks at what is happeing here. I just want to puke. Sorry!

  • @matrix4022 Like modern germany ,hitler never spent much money on defence.

  • @matrix4022 I agree with you in some ways that disagreeing with EU is traditionally seen as a right wing ideology, although i wouldn't say fascist, but EU is the opposite to Socialism. It brings in privitisation, anti Union Laws and does not practices democracy, all of which are the opposite to Socialism

  • He has no chance of being Prime Minister in Britain because he is far too right wing. And he is against the NHS, which is political suicide in Britain. So yeah, we are much bigger fans of big government in the Uk than you re in the US.

  • @mtaylorknowles unfortunately, the UK and especially the rest of europe is still far to socialist in culture for a guy like Dan Hannan getting in to the Prime Ministers role. The good news is that Dan Hannan is a member of the Tories (conservative) party and are pretty much going to win the next election. So I would love to see him one day become the next Chancellor of the Exchequer (secretary of the treasury), but its probably just wishful thinking

  • Hannan is not well supported in the UK. His views are not generally adopted by the Conservative party. Some of his views regarding issues on the NHS are far too extreme. Last year he said that the NHS was a mistake, this caused outrage amongst money.

He is only a member of European Parliament, not the UK parliament so would not be able to become PM. Even if he were an MP the Conservatives would not get elected under him.

  • Well said Daniel Hannan

  • this guys been corrupted by money and the E.U

it's the E.U rules that cost me my job in 2008

  • We need our politicians to stand up to the messiah Obama and give him an ear full.

  • Hannan. Right about Brown and his scorched earth policy, wrong about NHS.

  • How so?

  • Because what he claims about the NHS is objectively and demonstrably false.

  • People criticize Hannan because of what the tories have done, the same way they criticize Ron Paul for what the Republicans here have done. People need to understand that these men do not fit either party mold and are in fact Libertarians or " Classical Liberals " if you will.

We've been trying more and more government since the 30's. We've tried more programs, more taxes, more control, more spending. We're watching the endgame of this awful experiment. Why not give REAL Libertarianism a go??

  • @Libertyman78 What about Real Conservatism?

  • @Libertyman78 "REAL Libertarianism" is and has been tried in the worldwide economic philosophy of the last two decades. The economically "liberal" de-regulation of the banks and encouragement of market fundamentalism has been tried. And the result? The biggest economic crisis since 1929.

Real Libertarianism as you coin it, has had it's "go" and has been a disaster.

  • @wrexhamjack123 Libertarianism foremost stands for limited government/limited government involvement, where, sir, in the last 2 decades you've seen governments shrinking resulting in a "disaster"?

  • @mowgly3000 well the British government shrunk under Tony Blair, he lifted the regulations on the banks.

  • @wrexhamjack123 No, I mean real shrinking: mainly radical cut of entitlements, student grants, de-nationalization of private industries, cut public sector down to mere essentials

  • @wrexhamjack123 Ad hominem coming. You must work very hard to reach the height of idiocy. Either that or you don't read much nor pay attention. From what I understand Washington DC has the highest murder rate in the country. By your logic freedom is the cause and the cure is a police state. Brilliant.

  • @equsnarnd I said nothing of police states. I was talking of the liberalisation of the economy.

  • @wrexhamjack123 No you didn't and you also never met a metaphor you understood.

  • @equsnarnd And you also can't speak English. Do try to articulate.

  • @wrexhamjack123 Do you have a question?

  • @Libertyman78 Erm well actually we've been trying more and more government since the beginning of the 20th century with the liberal welfare reforms and actually it's worked pretty well.

  • @Libertyman78 You hit the nail on the head!! I have been trying to explain the difference for years and it seems hopeless. The majority are too ignorant, stubborn , or brainwashed to believe there is anything beyond the left-right paradigm. Continually falling into the broken window fallacy and only a small minority realize it.

  • @Libertyman78 I agree with you that Hannan and Paul are Libertarians but they're Capitalist Libertarians.

I think the term Libertarian contradicts s itself in today meaning. It should mean freedom for people not the market. Noam Chomsky for president!

  • the tories apart from a couple like hannan have done fuck all they are labour in blue basically. They didnt try to even contest the government on anything and will likely fuck us up even more (just look at cowardly con "nah we wont have a referendum")

What we need is a ukip government, where government officials get the sack when they take the piss (like i dont know the expences) and the government gives the people what they truely want! (like a vote on in or out the EU)

  • Maybe pardeepsinghk you can afford to be a socialist... I Cannot ! cast your mind back to 78-79 the winter of discontent Labour screwed the economy then and it took a conservative govt to sort it . This countrys screwed ...

  • You gotto kinda feel sorry for the tories in a way. Once again a labour government has brought this country to the brink of financial ruin, and the tories will end up having to take all the abuse and pain that will be caused by trying to get us back on our feet.

  • The Conservatives never once seriously criticised Labour for their economic policies (apart from giving the Bank of England independance). As a matter of fact Labour kept to Major's economic policies for the first 4 years of their term.

Never forget the Conservatives gave us 2 major recessions and the collapse of heavy industry.

And before I get called a left wing nut, I'm a banking solicitor with a major corporate firm.

  • Excellent. More proof also that the melt down actually started in the UK (remember Northern Rock?). We are headed down the same slope but the UK is in the front.

  • Our Constitution begins "We the People"; the European Constitution begins "His Majesty the King". I pointed out the same thing when I read the European Constitution a few years ago and also used it to illustrate its critical flaw—that it is the product of a group of elites completely detached from the will of their constituents. I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed it. Daniel Hannan is my ideological soulmate.

  • "His majesty the king"?

  • How quick this man-love relationship soared, in the next meeting between the two, 01-04 -2009, when Hannon doesn't whole-heartedly agree with beck, he is quickly brushed off, and told by beck " I liked you better before you were knockin' us around" . I dont think he has appeared since..

  • Mickmars90......All our utilities owned by the french/germans/spanish. Buses and trains the most expensive in europe. Oh yes we want more of that you dozy conservative son of a bitch.

  • This isn't an interview, this is just listening to two guys who have the same opinion having a conversation. ffs.

  • Im sorry...but that Hannan looks like one sorry looking dork. And we have a political party full of nerds like him over here. THE CONCERVATIVE PARTY. Every one a chinless idiot.

  • When the Conservative Party used to be a conservative party, we won more votes than any other party in electoral history. In 1987, Mrs Thatcher won 13,760,000 votes, which was the largest relative mandate in electoral history, only topped by the 14,000,000 accrued John Major.

When the Tories was led by proper right wingers, we built the most successful economy ever, and took a nation from being the sick man of Europe to the 3rd strongest economy in the world.

  • What was that..... fartheman. I bet you were born in a NHS hospital you prick. Bet when you were born they slapped your mother instead....LOL I bet your daddy was some sailors eh

  • Glenn Beck is such a frustrating, obnoxious fool. He asks questions like "What is wrong with this crazy world?" and "Why's it so silly?" and expects the interviewee to give a completely sensible, well-conceived response. A trud, simply.

  • It amazes me when people compare what we have to socialism. Socialism is when the government controls the entire free market, what we have is regulated capitalism. Far too regulated.. we need laissez-faire capitalism in which businesses fail when their time comes, and new businesses arise.

  • reliever13....Its the banker friends of this prick that cocked up the country. I dont remember this tosser on TV when the banks were throwing the cash around. We are all wise with hindsight. Actually up until a week ago I had never seen this hired mouthpiece before. Dont worry, Cinderella went to the ball but soon it will be rags again.

  • We've tried your bullshit, it failed. Now fuck off.

  • catalyst8....What pisses me off is that he is a Euro MP of a Union that he hates. He is anti EEC but he takes the money for being a euro representative of it for his area. In other words he is selling his constituents short.

  • How do you not like him? Is he wrong on the economy? Has saving money increased your debts or has the spending made them go away?

  • Reliever13 Be our guest and take the dorky bastard. We will swap a 1000 Hannans for your mr Weiner any day. PS he wont have a job when he comes back anyway.

  • 'he won't have a job when he comes back anyway.'

Well, he certainly won't get re-elected. Either Hannan's completely lost his mind or he's deliberately sabotaged his own political career. Whichever it is his own party is ostracising him, the media & the public are (rightly) vilifying him. A third alternative has just occurred to me, that he's been bribed by Labour to discredit the Tories prior to the next election - if this is the case he's doing a bloody good job.

  • Some of what he says is dead wrong, but the part about the Government Employees like racism awareness counselor etc. I think is on point.

  • I'm a British conservative and Daniel Hannan is an absolute embarrassment. His grasp of economics is tenuous and his smugness vile. If you guys want him, have him. And for the record, the reason no one takes him seriously in the UK is because he's a prat. And another thing, he does not represent the UK in the EU (as stated in the interview), but South East England, so this notion that a majority of brits support him is absolute rubbish.

  • I totally agree. The US Republicans have seized on this self-promoting drivel and taken it out of context to shore up their dubious opposition to healthcare reform.

  • Way to go Daniel Hannan! We need people like him in America.

  • Clearly, you are welcome to him.

  • The reason you would get a question like this on the BBC is because the BBC is fair and balanced unlike Fox News which is fucking right wing

  • I hope you keep this video up, so we can mark your downfall, idiot.

  • Glenn Beck, says everything, knows nothing.

  • Daniel hannan is such a horrible little fuckwad- I reckon he'd suck a dog's cock if an american republican asked him to. He clearly loves going on american TV: why doesn't he fuck off and go and live in america if he loves it there so much?

  • Sure, how about we take your rich conservatives, and you could take our illegal aliens and poor socialists who want handouts?

  • typical conservative reply rawdawg keep the rich rich and the poor poorer thats why the whole of the worlds economies have gone into meltdown because of right wing economics make the rich richer and it will slowly drip down well guess what ....... it dosen't F@*KIN work and we the working class then have to bail the super rich out before they go bust!... thanks REAGAN, THATCHER and BUSH for nothing but DEBIT!!

  • err, because many thousands of people in the South East of England elected him to represent them?

  • Under the electoral system used in elections to the EU Parliament you vote for the party and not an individual person. Its called the party list system and people vote Tory because they are anti EU.

  • European elections don't count for shit, Hannan might have got himself on a little gravy train but you know as well as I do that bugger-all of anybody voted in the last Euro-Elections.

I don't like him, you want to suck his cock- lets just agree to disagree, ok?

  • Judging by some of your other posts, it's you that has the cock fixation, not I, perhaps you have some internal doubts you need to see a therapist about?

  • What if I were gay? Maybe I am, what's wrong with that? I notice that there are many valued members of the Conservative Party who are openly gay so I think it would be VERY INTERESTING if Mr. Hannan's supporters are inclined towards homophobia. I know Churchill called the Tories a 'party of vested interests' but if Hannan goes any further out of the paddock I reckon he'll be on his own.

  • 1. It's you that stated that I wanted to suck Hannan's cock - the homophobia charge is resting squarely on you, what a piss poor attempt to deflect attention. Also, I didn't even imply that there was anything wrong with being gay, I suggested you may have doubts (no logical connection between the two propositions). Shocking argument.

  • I'm not having an argument:

I'm currently at Her Majesty's pleasure and this is how I meet men. You sound like lots of fun and I wish you were here with me.

I'm 6'2", 16 stone and I have a 6.5" uncut penis. GSOH. I don't do felching but am willing to recieve.

I hope you'll keep in touch- maybe you could come visit me xxx

  • Your surrender is accepted

  • Does this mean we're on for the weekend?

  • Daniel Hannan... the Lord Haw Haw of the modern age...

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Sick people

  • Yes Hannan, please defect to the US so we don't have to put up with your sorry arse. America, your welcome to him, because with that interview he'll have become quiet unpopular over here in the UK.

  • I'll second that.

  • We would never get a question on the BBC like that! he says.....Thank God Daniel! because I live in BRITAIN thats got impartial news not a Nazi proparganda channel like Fox!... please , please Mr Hannan resign and piss off to the USA

  • There is no such thing as impartial news. Everyone is partial to something if they are informed on the subject, even the BBC. It belongs to the government, which is Labour. That isn't impartial?

The best way to do it is have a right wing news and a left wing news, so we can watch both and make up our own mind

  • So what about the David Kelly case? Don't think they were very united there

  • The most stupid person in America and the most stupid person in Britain on TV together at last.

  • What a disgusting human being.

I'm not surprised that he wishes the BBC was more like Fox News - every presenter on Fox has wholeheartedly massaged Hannan's ego and boosted his public profile without ever criticising or challenging him in the way that Humphrys or Paxman would do.

A small, selfish part of me wishes he would leave the UK but I don't think it would be fair to inflict this unprincipled media whore on any other country.

  • For the record Daniel Hannan is not a member of the UK Parliament and, if his latest remarks are anything to go by, never will be. Even the most hardline right winger in Britain would not deride the NHS etc the way he has. In fact his own leader has made the NHS one of his primary tools in his drive for 10 Downing Street.

Daniel Hannan would have a more successful career as a politician in the US where wealth comes before need and selfishness reigns supreme. He is an unknown in UK.

  • That selfishness created the richest and most powerful nation in history, which went on to save us in the great conflicts of the 20th century.

  • You just received an honours degree in irrelevance

  • Liberty!!! Sweet land of liberty! This dude is smart!

  • Stop cutting off your guest and let him speak, Glenn. You are so obnoxious it's really starting to annoy me... And I'm a libertarian!

  • lol

  • So has Hannan ever been a chief executive/administrator of either a large municipality or a large national government department/agency. When he has done so successsfully he should probably run for Prime Minister.

  • Riiiiiight... (Done in my best Dr. Evil)... It doesn't take a CEO with decades of experience to put two and two together and see that you can't borrow your way out of debt and spend yourself into prosperity. Just try doing that with your credit cards and see how far you'll get. Whether at the macro level, or the micro, the numbers work the same. Government is NOT a source of prosperity, it is a killer of it.

  • Practical solution to what historically has been a complex problem.

Technology required to eliminate political corruption has existed for a long time. Amend Constitution mandating all politicians & public officials must pass a weekly test while wired to a lie detector and seated in an electric chair.

Ask a series of random questions, first lie beeps & repeats the question, lie again they die.

Mandate all Government Officials immediately be tested while repeating Oath to God & Country.

  • Some people say Glenn Beck is a nut because he's not a conformist to bo's ideas. Way too many naive citizens have been hypnotized by charismatic rhetoric, but they are ignorant of facts.

  • This could be our future, America, if we don't WAKE up and wake up soon. Sure, we've got the Constitution, but we are allowing it to slowly be erroded away. I talk to people in Europe and they are VERY concerned about us, and perplexed as to why we are seemingly doing nothing about it....

  • I totally agree, but the Constitution is eroding not slowly, but fast with Obama.

  • Yup, we're getting "change" alright, and I don't think I like it!

  • What's wrong with him going on glenn beck's show... him being a "nutjob" is purely opinion. Daniel Hannan is still a genius.

  • He should be embarrassed appearing on this nutjobs show.

  • Yea... You can tell how awkward he feels.

  • I think both of you don't realize how brilliant Glenn Beck really is. Calling Glenn Beck a "nut job" instead of using a factual argument is really telling as to how snub the English are. Incidentally, you forgot to capitalize Glenn Beck which is a pronoun.

  • Yes dear, keep taking the medication...

  • Did you just refer to me as "dear"? Just because I gave you a lesson in English does not mean you have a relationship with me.

  • I sometimes refer to those with limited mental capabilities as 'dear', if that makes you feel any better.

And no you didn't give me a lesson in English it wasn't me that wrote "Glenn Beck" you got confused and replied to my post whist giving someone else a "lesson", I expect that is a side effect of your medication.

And I really don't think someone who uses the phrase "how snub the English are" should be giving lessons to anyone. Now back to your basket weaving...

  • Haha owned

  • UK are proud of this guy's speech and we can't wait to vote in the Conservatives in this year and next during the Euro and General elections. Gordon Brown is going out by a landslide, he is a disgrace, New Labour are pathetic

  • Seriously Hannan? Do you not realise how much of an idiot Glenn Beck is? He basically just asked you whether you think there is a conspiracy for a New World Order and can't tell the difference between England the UK.

Also, there's no way this New Labour project was a socialist government. Not even close. You don't know what you're saying, or maybe you do, in which case you are being intentionally misleading. Comparing the UK to Zimbabwe is disgraceful.

  • I think this MP is a great speaker, but all I see here is two ideologues agreeing on everything. I feel much more comfortable being led out of this recession by pragmatists, not ideologues throwing around words like "socialism" and "Zimbabwe". But dont get me wrong, I do think some of the criticism is warranted.

  • uh..obama is the epitome of an ideologue. the only thing needed to get out of a recession is production. that would entail getting out of the way of business and letting them get on with it. not one penny more...not one penny more...for bail outs, pet projects, political allies, scams...no more...

  • I think it is arguable whether Obama is more of a pragmatist or an ideologue, we will surely have a better idea as his first term progresses. I do however think that the financial sector bailout was necessary to avoid a total freeze up of the financial markets, unpleasant as it was. And this process was actually initiated under Bush.
