I read that USAF Pararescue members do 1000 flutter kicks while wearing water-filled goggles after doing 20 hours of non-stop physical training. Holy...
This really strikes me an exercise that's useless because there's so many other things that you can do...but they do this in coast guard BT so I guess I'm gonna practice doing 'em anyways. I really just bitch about it on youtube because I know I will not be able to in BT.
They didn't mention this, flutter kicks are also great for strengthening your hip flexors, I can do flutter kicks for a long time, the first minute it hurts your abs, then as you do it longer you notice soreness in your hips. Hips are part of your core just like your abdominal muscles and back muscles, and they should be excersized equally, but many people overlook this group of muscles. It's also not good to keep your head up, it closes off your airway and puts MORE stress on your neck/back.
Woah, I just did that and I can feel that it's really working, 'cause my muscles burn pretty much :) Well, I'm a beginner, so it's no surprise that it's hard.
not exacltly what i had in mind when i searched it...

@psokid15 because although some of their videos are decent, the majority are filled with horrendous advice and improper form.
