hey, i usually hate review videos on youtube - they're typically poorly done, uninformative and repetitive. this was really nice though, nice game choice! definitely one of the best famicom games that never made it here!

Nice video man! I had never seen this game or heard of the cartoon before watching your vid, but the game looks pretty cool. The title is pretty interesting. The hiragana, てやんでえ, teyandee, is an interestingly antiquated Japanese phrase, which, I really can't tell you the direct translation of as it's not really used in modern Japanese. Nice review as always Bracey!

@CRTcade Thanks man! Yeah, the translation is really weird. I read it as Kyattou Ninden Teyandee, but "Samurai Pizza Cats" is much easier to say, haha.

Aw, Samurai Pizza Cats, havn't seen it for over 15 years I think, I watched it regulary as child when it was on german TV.

And a nice game, too bad I don't have a Famicom.

The english dub of the cartoon is hilarious simply because you could tell they were just fucking around for fun. Just watching a couple episodes, it's amazing some of the stuff they got away with for a show targeted at children.

This game always looked pretty fun to me, not really a fan of the show but the game looks really quality.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the english dub of the show despite how inaccurate it was. It was highly entertaining and it was mostly dubbed by canadian cartoon voice actors so all the power to them for doing that. I've played the game before, and its definitely a classic that should of made its way to North America.

I was wondering who composed the music for this. I looked and it say's Kenji Kawai the sound has a bit of Mega Man to it could be wrong. I do remember this cartoon on Saturday mornings!

I just love the classic 8 and 16-bit games.........an era of gaming that will always be remebered by the ones who lived it. Today its just all ..like whatever, seriously. Arcade at home..sometimes even better. But back then, you were so happy to have something to control on your tv. Anyway, retro people know what I'm on about. Did not know about this game but I do remember the cartoon. I always love seeing multi scrolling backgrounds on the 8-bit systems, it was rare at the time.
