The reference was funny at first, when it was used sporadically and in fitting or completely non-sensical situations. Unfortunately, people have already turned it into an insanely overused meme by repeating it ad nauseam without proper context, such that it has already become annoying in mere weeks.

Telstra here in Aussieland used to\currently do load their phones with bloatware... consisting mainly of links to Telstra services. After a rant on the Telstra Crowd Support forum, they came forward with a solution: reduce the crap, add one app which is slightly useful (TelstraOne, which is useful in that it has a data widget which tells you how much data Telstra are billing you for), and make every other Telstra app removable.

I have TelstraOne on my rooted Desire, and don't mind it at all.

Its amazing that you can delete about 150mb of stuff from a Sense 3.5 rom (rcmix runny 4.0 on DesireHD) and basically still get the same experience, minus a few choices in backgrounds for the homescreen (where you use your own pictures anyway).

Btw i'm not even all that hyped about ICS simply because a cleaned out Sense3.5 looks and feels just amazing.

I couldn't agree more. The manufacturer branded bloat is annoying as hell, but at least you can choose which manufacturer you use. It's the sponsored bloat that really pisses me off. I don't agree, Htc sense has an awesome interface compared to the plain stock android look, HTC hub can allow you to retrieve your lost phone, who prefers adw to HTC sense, who doesn't enjoy cool most of the time lag less visual effects, who doesn't like a cool 3d sms widget,

At&t is the worst with bloatware. My phone came with Google. Navigator and AT&T navigator... there's other bloatware as well like AT&T code scanner which can't scan 1/2 of the barcodes I have and family map... most of them incur montly service fees if you click on them. However there is no excuse for redundant bloatware like AT&T Navigator. Btw, if I had hair like that, I would set it on fire and roast some nice hot dogs, or a tea biscuit or whatever you British people do with an open flame.
