One of the main reasons why I do not like Ron Paul is that he talks like the presidency of the US is a dictatorship. For instance, if you go to his website he says that HE will repeal Roe vs. Wade and that HE will eliminate 5 government agencies etc. As much as I would like to see RvW repealed and some of those agencies gone, he can not, constitutionally, do that. That is up to the Senate and in the case of RvW it is up to the Supreme Court because it was a S C ruling in the first place.

Unless the authority is expressly written into the constitution, Dr Paul doesn't subscribe to it. Nobody is more of a strict constructionist when enterpreting constitutional authority than is Paul. You are the first person to raise this issue, so I have to assume you know very little about the man.

One of the main reasons why I do not like Ron Paul is that he talks like the presidency of the US is a dictatorship. For instance, if you go to his website he says that HE will repeal Roe vs. Wade and that HE will eliminate 5 government agencies etc. As much as I would like to see RvW repealed and some of those agencies gone, he can not, constitutionally, do that. That is up to the Senate and in the case of RvW it is up to the Supreme Court because it was a S C ruling in the first place.

Unless the authority is expressly written into the constitution, Dr Paul doesn't subscribe to it. Nobody is more of a strict constructionist when enterpreting constitutional authority than is Paul. You are the first person to raise this issue, so I have to assume you know very little about the man.

He ran for President on the Libertarian ticket in 1988. Re: The Soviets--I'm not sure why you're intent on comparing the current war with the 50+ year cold war with the Soviets, but if you're going to insist we only used diplomacy I have two words: Korea and Vietnam.

And I would like to point out something to you all.. We, the people, congress etc.. only know about 3 to 5% of what is ACTUALLY going on in protecting the people in this country.. IF RON PAUL WON?
