This is a hilarious parody of the ending of Gunga Din, where Gunga saves the British regiment from the Cult of Kali by warning them with his bugle. Though Gunga died a bit quicker in that film!

This is the best movie ever, I don't know why, but this movie that is: basically about a guy who desperately has to go to the bathroom having to hold it for almost the entire duration of the movie, going through a whole bunch of situations until he gets to relieve himself. I love this movie.

We lost Blake Edwards yesterday. The world will miss him. The moment I heard of his passing, I remembered this scene from The Party -- the funniest opening scene in movie history -- and how my dad kept laughing so hard my mother threatened to leave the theater. Or so the story goes. Mr. Edwards would've enjoyed knowing that. May he Rest in Peace.
