@ToolKid21 Just guessing, but it might have be because the word "here" is used with 2 different words that imply two different "states" of being, 1 being a "potential" action ("come") & the other a more "definite" state ("stay"). But that's just a guess based on my limited knowledge that the German language has a relatively complicated (to us English speakers, anyway) system of conjugations and minor spelling differentiations based on the context in which words are used. :) Totally a guess, tho.

@ToolKid2 Her is old German meaning from "Wo kommst du her" means "where are you from" hier means you. Komm her would literally translate to come from, but in English that is wrong so translations are not literal and must be said slightly differently.
