You know if i get another cockatiel will it ruin my bird she already talks and stuff but shes starting to get nasty shes bite me 3 times and drew blood and i dont no how 2 persuade my parents for another 1 the same sex cos i think shes lonely??? x
Well, it is very possible that buying another cockatiel can effect your bird. I had Ricky since he was a baby and he didn't change at all when I got Jasper. So, yes you can place two same-sex cockatiels together, but you'll have to take it slow.
If you do get another female, you'll have to place the cgaes beside eachother for a while first, let them play outside the cage together for a while, to see how they get along. It'll be a slow process, but in the end you're bird get's a friend, and you get a new bird!
