@Thuglifesicknasty What they're hearing is that he doesn't have the effects on his voice, like the studio version. That's why they're not thinking it's as good. You gotta think, no dubs, or adlibs, etc. They just saw it as bland. But the singer's amazing sounding though.

I'm sorry but I just want to critique you on your performance:

I like your attempt but the thing is your cover just doesn't have enough oomph. For one you keyboardist is not playing the right notes. Sure hes playing the first of about 5 parts hes required to play but that doesn't excuse his poor performance. You on the other hand this worse compared to him. One thing I can say is that you need to relax and let your guitars string vibrate to make some sound. and you should maybe relax because..

2. The notes are not suppose to be held they are 8th notes.
