I agree with both of your statements. Michael Bay knows how to direct a Great Movie, but his movies would be trash if it wasn't for his CGI-Crew. And the one big thing about Bay is...all the movies he directs are love storyies which completly ruin his movies. Transformers... it looked great and was great but...it was a love story between LaBeuf and Fox, which isnt what I would want in a Transformers Movie, and same thing with Pearl Harbor, its about a war, not about two mixed up relationships.

I can already tell whats wrong with this movie, Doyle isn't in it and he is a main character, Jack Carver wasn't sent with a team he was by himself with that girl and he was trapped on the island. I have a big feeling that this movie will suck and some good director needs to make a Far Cry: Instincts movie.

No, it does not take place on a Tropical Island due to the budget not allowing us to travel outside of Vancouver to film. There is some connection, but in general most the character names have changed, and Valerie isn't CIA or anything like that. Its like a watered down Far Cry I guess you could say.

I'll go see it or rent the unrated DVD but I have only thought one of Uwe Boll's films was okay, that was Heart of America, yet it wasn't all that great. I can already tell whats wrong with this movie, Doyle isn't in it and he is a main character, Jack Carver wasn't sent with a team he was by himself with that girl and he was trapped on the island. I have a big feeling that this movie will suck and some good director needs to make a Far Cry: Instincts movie.

No, it does not take place on a Tropical Island due to the budget not allowing us to travel outside of Vancouver to film. There is some connection, but in general most the character names have changed, and Valerie isn't CIA or anything like that. Its like a watered down Far Cry I guess you could say.
